Thanksgiving? I'm thinking of driving there around that time but am afraid of bad weather, any tips are greatly appreciated to help my visit go smoother. I would also love some input on best areas to stay. Please P.M. me with answers related to hotels.
Thanks

.......it rarely snows down here. If we get an inch or more you are well advised to stay away since most county governments are clueless about snow/ice cleanup and the "natives" are completely clueless about how to drive in snow and ice.

I can assure you our weather will almost always be milder than  N. Carolina.  That Ice event was in late January, which was an event for Atlanta since that kind of weather is usually about once a decade, and never last long.  But of course since it's such a rarity, the City isn't prepared, so at the hint of an ice or snow event everything closes, LOL.

you seem to have a reputation my dear friend...lol
I am going to try and free myself up from the family time a day or two early and try to stop in Atlanta for a day or two.
Lets hear some opinions on areas please, hopefully not too far off the beaten path. I am looking forward to meeting a couple of you while there. I prefer 4 star hotels, so you can PM me suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mother nature just decides to slam you again with who knows what?

What brave gentlemen are going to come rescue me? Might end up being an extended tour your fine city.

Lol j/k, hopefully I'll be fine, I'm not a stranger to snow but that ice is way too scary for me. Lets just hope for good weather!

who would be more than happy to "rescue" you from any inclement weather...

where you live, I'm quite sure you know exactly how the weather will be.   Good job in keeping this post up, though.

I'm not pissing in your Cheerios (nor did I last week when you brought that lovely phrase to the Carolinas board), but I am just sayin'.
