It took the Supreme Court (by a 9-0 vote) to overrule the redneck Georgia District Court that decided Bond's constitutional rights had not been violated.
In 2008, Republicans wanted to bar Obama from serving as President ostensibly because he wasn't born in America. Of course, the fact that he was an "uppity" black had nothing to do with it.
