An age-old story - it's a case of life imitating art.  See the episode "The Town That Wasn't (1957)" on "The Adventures of Superman."  Or "The Rockford Files" episode "Pastoria Prime Pick (1975)."  Crooked cops, crooked government officials, what else is new?

Ok, I don’t think I want to live there. Could these numbers possibly be correct? The DOJ report said there were 16,000 outstanding arrest warrants at the end of 2014; and now CNN says 2300 new ones were issued this year.

And since the majority of the population is African American, this means that the black community is almost surely bearing the brunt of this overbearing “law enforcement. “

Now, this does cover non-residents as well as the 21000 residents, but even so it seems that almost everyone is wanted for something.

You can’t blame just the police. Many of the arrest warrants apparently are “bench warrants” –i.e.,  the defendant was issued a citation for say speeding but failed to show up in court. So the community is at fault as well.

But then there are arrests for “walking in the road inappropriately.” WTF?

“You say you were just dancing in the street after Duke won the NCAA? You have the right to remain silent.”

Guess which race received 95% of these citations in recent years? So it seems to me that the odds are when the police stop a young black man, he already has an outstanding warrant. So he’s going to run and we set up another police shooting scenario.

What a total failure of city administration and police enforcement in this city

The Post says that in 2013 alone the court issued 32,975 warrants for minor offenses:

"And when people couldn’t pay, they were arrested. Around 21,000 people live in Ferguson. But in 2013, the city’s municipal court issued a staggering 32,975 arrest warrants for minor offenses, according to Missouri state records. “Folks have the impression that this form of low-level harassment isn’t about public safety,”

That is way higher than the numbers I had adding 2014 to 2015.

We better send Rockford to investigate. He get’s $200 a day plus expenses.  I’ll cover the expenses and you get the rest

I mean that is where the bogus and deceitful "hands up, don't shoot" lie started, right?

And isn't that the city where African Americans, hundreds of them, maybe thousands of them, looted and burned down stores owned by other African Americans?

If I recall, isn't Mike Brown, the person that many on the Left, particularly the "Black Lives Matter" racial instigators, have put up on a pedestal as the face of the "movement?" A man that robbed a store, threatened the owner and assaulted a cop?

He's a hero to many, right?

What a total failure of knowing or caring about right vs. wrong values by all too many in Ferguson.

I couldn't agree more. Who in the right mind would want to live there?
