Please let me know if you find more info for providers in the Downtown Brooklyn area or nearby. This is an affluent area and one would think there would be some options nearby.

Hey just wondering,

Where do you gentlemen hobby mostly? Manhattan or Brooklyn?

I'm thinking of moving to manhattan but rent is crazy expensive over there.

My reason to look outside of Manhattan isn't rent since I am prepared for the big apple fees but it's more because I would like to explore. I find that most of my clients that see me in Midtown East when I visit are coming from queens, downtown Brooklyn, soho, LES, ect which I why I am thinking about touring those areas. I never see a Ad in Downtown Brookyln or Les and I still don't know why so I was wondering if Midtown East is the only hobby friendly area which is weird compared to other states. I am still doing research so I will let you know if I find about NYC. Most ads say Midtown East so it looks like that is all NYC has to offer when it comes to hosting near client's.

In my opinion I know there is more to NYC then just the good old midtown east area especially when my clients are coming from all over when I tour there. When someone is curious about expanding outside of Midtown East it starts to turn in a Maze trying to figure out good areas while staying away from the bad parts.

Search the NY Board for "Neighborhood Map" going back 365 days or so. Those are mostly threads about where to be and where to go in Manhattan. There is advice for touring non-locals ("keep it simple") and also for local yokels and can quote you stops on every subway line.

More correctly, here is the MANHATTAN Neighborhood Map

Lots of neighborhoods in the helpful map from imposter where you can find a safe comfortable place to stay/host and also be in a neighborhood that has good places to eat, shop and hangout inbetween appointments. Yes, midtown is ideal for volume, but there are other 'hoods that should net you good visitor traffic. Happy to provide free advice as a Manhattan dweller and frequent hobbyist. PM me if curious.
