Another long nerdy weekend, but worth it. The problem with Anime in general is the sheer volume of it. You cannot possibly know all of the characters. Those you do know... well you call the cosplayers by name, they smile brighter and pose.
If you're lucky, there will be some creepy young guys around and one young woman will pick you up as a my boyfriend Kosh (she reads your name badge), "my sugar daddy Kosh" or "my Daddy" - just to act as her white knight.Yes, this has happened on more than one occasion with more than one person. Nothing like a sincere smile and almost always a kiss on the cheek to brighten the day of this Nice Guy. "Sugar Daddy" did have a nice weekend once, but Daddy was only that to the 14 y.o - who introduced me to her real Mom, a lovely younger than myself woman who gave a fantastic hug and does so every year at Dragon right after see reminds my SO how lucky she is (doesn't always work in my favor). Crafty, you don't have to cosplay to have a good time. Bet ya a nickel you could take the GF to one, let her see all the outfits and she'll get the bug to cosplay. Now I tell ya.......I'm not into the anime stuff as I guess I'm too old! LOL..... But! There is some love from me for those cosplay girls! Those Asian girls in those cosplay outfits are just hot! (The legal age ones! Hahaha) Maybe it's just me that thinks so but that's ok too! LOL..... Convention is at Galleria again this year and that area is packed! I would stay away unless you are going! No rooms anywhere in that area to be had either! Brings good money to Atlanta though! My GF is Asian but can't convince her to wear one! LOL
