I agree! I have had some good times in the Perimeter Mall area.

Actually, I happen to have a real soft spot for Sandy Springs, and something keeps drawing me back there.  ;-)

Perimeter Mall (Dunwoody) is much easier to get in, out, and around than Buckhead - if you're driving.  Both have Marta stations.  I clicked on your links, and I don't think it would matter if someone was coming to see you.  They'll find their way to you.  :-)

A provider friend asked me this question. Since I'm still learning Atlanta myself, I had no idea what to tell her.

I personally LOOOOOVEEEE the Perimeter Mall area (or is it referred to as the Dunwoody area?) I dunno, but I love that area. I'm not too familiar with Buckhead, and I get lost every single time I go out there. Plus, there is a Walmart in the Perimeter Mall area. Us southern gals need our Walmart!

Which do you guys prefer of the two when it comes to seeing friends?

(question for both men and women.)

I've gotten lost going through buckhead before too, and don't you have to pay to park down there too? And, one way streets? Also, I heard a lot of hotels down there have key card only elevators, while most in Perimeter don't. Mmmmm and That Pie Place & Einstein Bros!

You have to try Brooklyn Cafe over in Sandy Springs.

They have a kale salad that is to die for. They also have crab cakes that are gluten free with no fillers! I'm talking REAL CRAB! ugh! They serve it with the long string beans. (which are always fun to eat). They also have these vegetarian egg rolls with avocado stuffed inside. It's such a lovely place.

I'm not sure who makes the drinks there. But I usually get a vodka tonic cucumber. It's so light and refreshing.

lol Look what you did, one mention of food, and I get all revved up.

That's the foodie in me!

That sounds delish! I love crab cakes. I ordered room service Friday night and got a crab cake burger with chipotle aioli, avocado on a brioche bun that was so yummy.

My fav little hang out spot in Perimeter is actually Tilted Kilt though. Their wings are great, waitresses are always on point and they have Newcastle on tap.

I just love Perimeter in general. The majority of the hotels are only on 3 different streets surrounding the mall. And, then there's the mall itself which is great. Costco is right there too, and they have a liquor store where you don't have to be a member. Whole Foods is not a far drive either. And, let's not forget all those wonderful gentlemen in those big giant office buildings. ;) Only two freaking gas stations though? What's up with that?

...behind one of those gas stations lol!
