A high floor hotel or apt building....not much close by, why not open...then again people do have binoculars!!!

I think there will be plenty of mystery that lies amongst our silhouettes...

IMO dim light, enough to see and enjoy, but not harsh is the best ambiance. At least some candle light is ideal for me.  
I feel like if it's too dark it seems like I'm trying to hide  and too bright just kills the atmosphere.

I like lights on so I can see who (and what part of her) I am eating & she of me.

Can you tell I love cunnilingus and getting a bbbj and the visuals those activities entail?

So he can get the full view to get the blood boiling, and when things get steamy, the silhouettes are a nice touch, but not too much sensory input for sight to distract from the skin on skin and the sounds.

There is enhanced pleasure in other ways when you shut out other senses. Very cool. If you can see, taste, touch, hear, and smell all at once, it's overload. So limiting part of one or two is a really cool way to enhance the physical touch and the sounds.

I think that's why you hear a lot of songs about "Dim all the slights, sweet darling, cuz tonight it's all the waaaayyyyy"!

I always put the bathroom light on

, draw the curtains, and then ask if they prefer more or less light. I do the same with the temperature. A nice neutral 70 degrees, and I ask if they prefer a change
