From other similar threads the consensus seems to be that you can't go wrong with Union Square.
Makes sense given the number residents, travelers/visitors. & workers/business people in the area.
Not too familiar with the San Jose area since I don't live on that side of the Bay Area but I wonder what the scene is like there given that it's the 10th largest city by population in the U.S. The city is however more widespread & encompasess a larger area.
As oppose to San Francisco which, out of all the major cities in the US, is suppose to be the 2nd most densely populated city in the U.S.
Same kind of question was of brought up about a month ago
and I check out all the links ,,,, think I know now where to go just need to make sure the hotel I pick ( needs no key card ) and I do like 4star
another vote for union square.
central location, easy access by public transportation, street parking can be tricky but lots of parking lots. lots of shops and restaurants for downtime.
lots of hotels near sfo and it is BART accessible but there isn't much to do in the downtime unless you have a car
ok think I know where to go now ...
i'm not much about the shopping thing in there to make happyness .....
down time is good clears the head and keeps me happy and
makes everyones visit much more
enjoyable !!
