A friend (escort) of a friend (sb) wants a crim defense lawyer
I don't know her but apparently she's an escort in N.Y.C. with no money (having reviewed her pics, I don't see how that's possible but I guess poor financial management). She's been busted for something, presumably p4p, and needs a lawyer. Has no money but likely to offer other benefits....
Seems like a terrible idea and an approach doomed to failure, if you ask this particular lawyer, but I thought I'd throw it out to the regional board. Is this you? Are you a crim defenae lawyer who's looking for a "pro bono with benefits" arrangement? If so, PMHas she been charged? Is she eligible for a public defender?
Law school student services might be able to provide advice or assist with preparations but they aren't lawyers yet.
Since DNA was involved, maybe the Innocence Project will consider her case. Oh ... they only get involved post-incarceration
