I like Jim Norton, he speaks his mind. If you have Twitter, do yourself a favor and follow him @JimNorton.
One of my favorite and, to me, most amusing parts of the article is where he states that he only sees providers that speak to him through the passenger side window. LOL
To us atheists, there are no such things as miracles, only coincidences! :-)

Very interesting article. And, amazingly, it appears on the Time magazine web site.

I think you'll find these two articles worth while, especially the data and points in the second article from April.

The internet is making the buying and selling of sex easier and safer. Governments should stop trying to ban it

"This newspaper has never found it plausible that all prostitutes are victims. That fiction is becoming harder to sustain as much of the buying and selling of sex moves online. Personal websites mean prostitutes can market themselves and build their brands. Review sites bring trustworthy customer feedback to the commercial-sex trade for the first time. The shift makes it look more and more like a normal service industry."

A Second Article from The Economist in April Entitled Appropriately
"More BANG for your Buck"

How Technology is Shaping Up the World's Oldest Business

"We have analysed 190,000 profiles of sex workers on an international review site."

Check out the stats and graphs in this one.

to read an argument for legalization from a john that considers not just his own predilection for the hobby, but the health and safety of providers! His description of the pimp/prostitute violence was definitely poignant. (Also looking at the total cost as a year of tuition at Harvard? Woah!)

Thanks for the article. :)
