the dollar has some Greek buying power.

Today's news:
' Did you say the deal is a certainty? The finance minister replies "Of course it is. Doesn't Europe know what is in its best interest?" '

The Greek finance minister is a game theorist and he is gambling that Europe will conform to abstract theory. He ignores 'spite', the motivation to punish another player even if it causes self-harm, in order to avoid setting a bad precedent for future blackmail. Merkel has signaled that she's not interested in any more games.  Personally, I'm not betting on any horses today.

Q: What's a Greek urn?
A: About ten drachmas a month

There are many more "Greece's" to come, unless you can convince me the U.S. isn't on the high speed train to destruction.

Oh yes, I hear people say all the time. "Oh we (the U.S.) could NEVER be like Greece. Our economy is nothing like theirs and blah blah blah..."

The math is what the math is.

and Jack is right - our pants are down and we are bent over. That U.S. Territory Puerto Rico with aspirations to become the 52nd state could well be domino #2. "Greece" is just the lube

but speaking of Greece, I wonder just how much pussy a "rich American" with a pocket full of American green could get in these tough times over there. Not to  mention how much Greek you could get.
