What is allowable?  If you are in the US, except in NV (and there outside of Clarke and Washoe counties) what I think you are suggesting is illegal.  Fortunately, the laws aren't always enforced!  

What is expected, what is not - sorry but that varies with each client you meet, and the rules you set for yourself!!!  The minimum - some kindness, companionship, and confidentiality.
