If you are being truthful...

If what you say is COMPLETELY accurate, then you did absolutely nothing wrong. You were professional in your approach, gave her home and work numbers for verification and told her when you wanted to meet.

I would not do anything differently. The provider may have been out of town, or somehow never got your E-mail. I would send another E-mail in exactly the same way. Unless she does not wish to see first timers, I can not understand why she would not get back to you. If you do not hear from her again, try another provider. Its frustrating because you obviously spent time researching, but trust me, you will ultimately meet a provider you are pleased with.

After several months of research and "lurking" I finally decided on who would be my first experience in the hobby. She had great reviews here and on thereviewboard and all had links to her webpage which also had an e-mail contact page. In my message I introduced myself, was detailed in the where and when and how long, explained that I am a newbie to the hobby so I had no other provider references but gave my home phone number, place of occupation and the phone number there and when I could be reached at either number and my VIP membership handle name on this board......no response. I tried to schedule a week in advance to give her plenty of time to check my references but never heard back. :-( Bad first contact or just bad luck and bad timing?? Thanks for any help. Peace.

some providers get tons of email and sometimes take a while getting through them all.  If a lady gets enough requests from "friends" she's seen before, she won't even bother with a newbie.  Don't take it to heart, just go on to the next one.

A similar thing happened to me.  I submitted all my information to provider number one, and I didn't hear anything for over three weeks.  Then one day out of the blue my work phone rings and when I pick it up, nobody is there.  A couple of minutes later I get an e-mail saying I have been screened.  The actual screening took five minutes, but it took over three weeks to do it.

While I was waiting for provider number one, I went ahead and submitted my screening information to provider number two.  That was over two weeks ago, and I still haven't heard anything yet.  I am going to send an e-mail to her to see if he electrons got lost somewhere, but now my schedule is flaky and I couldn't schedule anything anyway for a couple of weeks.

My suggestion would be to send a follow-up e-mail, or try someone else.

I figured I had all my ducks in a row, but just ran into a little grey area. I was mainly worried that I somehow offended her. Your comments are greatly appreciated!!!
