Bobbi is a very nice lady I have had the pleasure of meeting me in the past.

Long Island City is in Queens which is ON Long Island.
You can be in Long Island City or IN any county, city, town, village, hmalet, community, etc. But you are ON the Island. Basic English grammar folks. Pollie had it right as does Donziman
