So the rednecks thought she is white.

Good try but no cigar.

You can say the same thing about Democrats. How many of them are ,or were, running for VP? All I've heard is that the Reps are old white guys.Well maybe not so much. The so called rednecks in South Carolina elected a non white female governor and a black senator. The voters made a personal choice to vote for them and the candidates made a personal choice to join the GOP.

for vice president?

And, why do you think no one of color is running for the Democrats. Here's a news flash for you! Running for president is a personal choice, not one made by a political party. If the later were the case. the NRP would be kicking some to the curb!   ;)

The Republicans have 2 candidates of Hispanic descent, one of African, one of Indian and a woman.
 The other side?
Sanders--old white guy. Socialist.
O Malley---white guy,former mayor of Baltimore
Chaffee---very rich white guy who says one of his major goals is (hold your laughter) converting to the metric system.
Mrs Clinton--old,white,rich corrupt retread.Frontrunner.

I'm sure the media will be questioning the Democrats as to why their candidates don't look like America. Just like I'm sure the Reps will be congratulated here for the diversity on the ticket.

yeah,right.

There's plenty of qualified politicians of color who could run for president, and no political party will determine who will or won't run. It's personal matter regarding if the person wants to, and if they think they can win. There doesn't seem to be any in the Democrat party. Why do you think that is? Because everyone knows that it will most likely be a race between and old white woman against an old white man.  ;)

I don't know that everyone thinks the Reps are going to nominate an old white guy. Rubio and Cruz aren't old and white. The race is wide open. I understand it's a personal choice if someone wants to run. I am saying I've heard every election cycle is that the GOP isn't diverse. Well this might be the most diverse batch of candidates ever. The media narrative is the GOP is all white males.Let's see if they give the party credit for attracting more diverse candidates.

Few token people here and there. Republicans always had monorities here and there. Michael, what's his name was an African American and was chairman of the Republican Party. Lasted only few months.

The point is, do the Republicans have significant minority support? No they do not.

In the last two POTUS elections:

African Amercians voted > 90% democrat
Asian Americans voted > 80% democrat
Lationo's voted > 70% democrat

Republicans always had support among Latinos, especially Cubans. Rubber Duck and Crux are Cubans hanging on to the old Cuban embargo.

No one knows today, who the Democrats VP selection is going to be. May be a Latino

...But it was a very successful term in which the Republicans took control of the House in 2010 and made gains in the Senate.  Despite his fine leadership, Steele failed to attract enough blacks to the GOP, so they dumped him in favor of something named Reince Priebus who has committed more gaffes than Joe Biden.  Yet somehow, Reince was re-elected as RNC chairman.

So the rednecks thought she is white.

Good try but no cigar.

.......older mostly white men and this Republican voter pool is shrinking every day. Unfortunately as this voter pool shrinks extreme right wing wacko's may become more violent against various immigrant groups, their message being that immigrants are taking over "their" country.

And yet Republicans have their biggest congressional margin since 1928! LOL

Go figure...

I guess you'll also ignore the biggest threat to minorities in this country, which is the extreme Left.

But lets not facts get in the way of your bullshit story, God forbid. LOL

....... The reality of gerrymandering is that this is indisputably a (very effective) tactic of CORRUPTING elections and RIGGING the results. Anyone (and this applies equally to both parties) who condones Gerrymandering and isn't outraged does not believe in a democracy IMHO.

Next you are going to say they supress minority votes!

Damn those witty Republicans, somehow they have managed to gerrymander entire states.

Honda, a rule of thumb that you might want to consider following in the future, When AnnoyingFungus starts agreeing with you, it might be time to reconsider your position on an issue.

Or would you like to explain to me just how the evil GOP has managed to gerrymander state wide elections?

And that's nice.  None of them but Jeb are actually electable though.
BTW, Bernie Sanders is Jewish, so he's not simply an "old white guy."  He's not remotely electable either but it does make the Democrat field a bit more diverse.

...go back to using the first name he was given at birth.  He must love Bobby Brady more than he does his heritage.  He already changed his religion from Hinduism to Catholicism.  What's next - a sudden case of vitiligo?

... so you tell me?
If it came down to Trump vs Sanders... which way would you run

That would be like choosing "death, or death by mamba?" lol

Truth be told, I have much more in common with Trump than Sanders, even if Trump is a complete nut job that I wouldn't want to see in ANY official capacity.

My problem with Sanders is that he stands for the exact opposite of what I believe in. I was raised with a work ethic, and have always believed that with enough effort and perseverance that I could take any failure and turn it into a success. Socialism is the exact opposite of individualism, it doesn't just provide a safety net, it invalidates hard work and personal responsibility. Why the fuck should I put forth any effort if I not only am not going to derive any benefit from it, but I will actually be treated like a pariah because of it? If you doubt this, just go into any union shop, hard workers are not only ridiculed, but are actually threatened for making it tougher on everybody else?
