They had a whole bunch of us spoiled rotten! $$ for an hour btb massage, bbbj, full service and you were lucky if you were allowed to leave in 60 minutes. They would kill me today.

I generally dont follow sports, especially soccer but since ATL is getting a professional team , i thought i'd attempt taking an interest. Its pretty intense when you get into it. Im having a blact at all sorts of WC Game parties!!!

The matches so far have been pretty edgy with a lot of close shots and blunders but tremendous  skill and effort out on the field.

Tuesday, local Sportsbars will be packed with eveyone who can get the game time off for what will hopefully get us through Round 16 and on to the finals.

Good Luck USA!!!!!

but I have watched most of the other matches as well. Besides gambling. I have three teams still in the mix to root for. Besides the obvious one, the US, I also spend considerable time in both Colombia and Costa Rica, both of which are still in the thick of it. Colombia was hardly a shocker as they have been the favorite in every match they have played so far, well up until their next match against Brazil of course, but the ticos have been one of the biggest surprises of the tournament being huge underdogs in their first three matches.

but yes, I am siked about the game tomorrow, but you haven't seen "siked" until you watch futbol in a South American or European country when their home team is playing. Our support of our team is lukewarm at best in comparison.

How many Chileans would walk out of the stadium had they won Saturday.
I think the over/under was set at nil.

I see that Brazil is still a pretty hefty favorite over Colombia. I think Colombia has a very good chance of beating Brazil and at +330, I like them even better. Costa Rica is once again a huge underdog, but against The Netherlands I can see why. The Dutch look tough once again. Besides if I say anything negative against them I am likely to be on "lifetime moderation" here, although I would be literally taking my life in my hands if I were to root against Costa Rica, considering that most likely that is where I will be when the game is played. lol

I don't claim to be a soccer fan, or to even know that much about the game.  But starting in 2010 I did get wrapped up in the World Cup.  And for me Tuesday's games are going to be phenomenal.  My adopted country is Argentina (I have spent time there and would love to retire there), but I am red white and blue to the bone.  If both Argentina and USA win tomorrow, they face each other on Saturday.  That is the day I win either way lol.  I will be watching these games Tuesday and hopefully my dream game on Saturday at Meehan's Public House (I won't say which one, you can PM me if you wish lol).  I wish I were in Brazil right now!

I'll be watching at my local hangout.  A huge crowd turned out for the U.S.-Portugal game.  Oh were they dejected when Portugal tied it up with seconds to go.  Hopefully the U.S. will beat the Belgians and move on.

If Soccer/Football/Kickball was played on ice, had a puck instead of a ball, encouraged physical contact, and opposing teams were allowed to make fun of you for flopping/embellishment after you served your 2 min penalty - then yeah, I'd be excited.

Than again, I'll just watch hockey.

Glad y'all are having fun with the World Cup, but I prefer The Stanley Cup.

Not really a big sports fan .. but World Cup so far has been pretty exciting and fun to watch, when I've been able to get away from work :(

As a lifelong player/fan/coach, I have been greatly enjoying the coverage of the WC. I was fortunately able to watch the Brazil/Chile match at a local watering hole and the view of the local Brazilian female fans was awe inspiring! The outfits they wore would cause hooters girls to blush..it certainly inspired me!

I'm with you Oisin. I've done that before(watched with a bunch of Brazilians) and had a blast!
I'll be doing it again this week :-)

Damn, we sure had a bunch of HOT HOT HOT Brazilians back in the day. It really is a shame that they didn't simply relocate to another Atlanta area city after Sandy Springs cracked down on them.

I couldn't care less about the world cup.  Boring.  If you like it I'm happy for you.  I think ESPN has been highlighting it, trying to make us interested.  Just my opinion.

Bet your sweet ass I'll be watching.  This is THE beautiful game with rhythm, grace and skill.  Sounds like the sexi had last night!

Have fun,
Z

And as much as I want to stay positive, I'm not that sure we will beat Colombia :(

Oh, well... At least we won't have to go home lol

It will be a tough game and the winner will truly deserve to be there in the semi finals! It would also be a tough call Brazilian women vs Columbian women.. we men would be winners either way!

but I do agree with Raquel that Colombia won't be a walk in the park for Brazil.

Considering that Colombia is getting well over three to one by the bookies, I think my money will be on Colombia. Plus both Colombia and Costa Rica are my adopted Latin American countries and I have spent a lot of time in both, I can't see myself rooting against either of them, although I think Costa Rica has gone as far as they can in this tournament.

but for some reason World Cup is watchable to me. I spend at least a third of my time where futbol is THE sport to watch and quite frankly, it bores me to tears, but I find World Cup Soccer easy to watch. Well except for some of the more boring matches like the ones Iran was involved with. Even with money on the line, watching paint would have been more exciting.
