Look out for "Washington, Washington" or "District of Columbia, District of Columbia."  I'm not even sure it's possible to list those areas, but if you see it, it's done by a foreigner or someone as dumb as dirt.

Handle: ilovemylifee  (Mississippi, Mississippi)

Wanted to meet, only needed $3K per month (plus trips). [Scoffed and answered, thanks, c-ya/]

She comes back with something to the effect that: "You're quite good in terms of your personality and how you articulate things makes me feel comfortable. I have a situation with work if you support me on that then we can work something out."

Turns out she is a "jewelry trader": "I am a freelancer/trader i go where it cheap and get gold Jewelries when I get orders. I was in Italy last month to get Jewelries for specific clients and it arrived Cali so I came to clear it. The situation now is insurance charges need to clear it before I get paid and what I have with me isn't enough to do that."

Of course, I had to ask what the insurance cost is, and she said: "Good morning , I am in California right now and can be back to Mississippi this evening if i settle this and what i need remaining to cover insurance is 1000."

Anyone else see her? I did not run the pics yet. Gotta be fake.

LOL. And the girls bitch about guys scamming them.

I have no idea if her pic is legit, nor do I (or you I bet) even care as she is obviously a scammer, very possibly not even in the US at all.

They seem to know enough geography to identify a state, but not a city within a state.  I've seen profiles with rack of these geographies listed.  All sounded like scammers:

Ohio, Ohio

Virginia, Virginia

Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania

Mississippi, Mississippi

(Obviously New York, New York is ok.)

It's easy for me to avoid the profiles which say "Maryland City, Maryland" or "Virginia, Virginia", but in DC, they just all say "Washington, District of Columbia" which makes it harder to recognize the scammers bc they can be fairly generic with their location.

Additional thought--check what country they last logged in from.  The U.S. may be very broad, but foreign countries are a waste of your time.

Tell her you really feel a connection and you want to help her. You've been so lonely and she just might be the soul connection you've been waiting for. It would be so amazing to be with her and she can make your life complete.

Then say that you've been burned before so you really need to be sure she's legit.  If she could just send you a new pic of her holding her insurance bill, and a scan of her passport ID page & the Italy customs & immigration stamp she got in her passport when she arrived in Italy you'll be wiring the funds before she can fart out her last Starbucks Macchiato!

Be sure to include a few small typos so it looks like you typed in a hurry because you are desperate to meet her now!

See what happens... :)

It only took her about twenty minutes from the time I "viewed" her until she viewed me back. I am not going to initiate contact "unless" I get really bored, but if she writes to me I may have some fun with her. lol

Great idea!  I remember reading that some folks who were sick and tired of the Nigerian money scams became expert at stringing them along and wasting as much of their time as possible!  It becomes a sport!

Some girls are purportedly employed in useless commission based jobs be it clothing retail or whatever. Months ago, I had this one potential SB who wrote to me (usually a red flag of desperation but not always so keep an open mind!) and her missives were extremely well written and very articulate. Too bad that she turned out to be a real but-her-face despite the spinner type body and the mop of blonde hair.

Anyway, after I was already turned off on her visuals plus what (outrageous) amount she was aspiring to get as "allowance" (typical BS case of my previous SD used to give me 500 even if we just met for coffee and we are still great friends but not in an arrangement anymore... how many of these have you come across?!) she comes back to me with a proposal:

She worked in a high end boutique (I verified that the boutique exists) in one of my locale's high end resorts. She asked me if I could place an order with her boutique to help her out with the 2K she was short in terms of her monthly sales target. She told me that she would even bring merchandise to my place to choose from! Needless to say, I stopped communicating and went cold turkey on her. I still see her signing onto SA infrequently.

That is a new one to me. But I'll give her credit for creativity and an innovative twist on successful sales techniques.  She needs to start selling time shares. She'd totally kill.
