I'm 90% sure I will be visiting DC for the first time this weekend. I have never been and would love suggestions of where to stay and what to do! I also posted on the DC board but, I know many of my TER hobbyist and providers also travel there frequently. Thank you in advance my lovelies!

The Willard. One block from the WH. Beautiful old hotel, recently renovated. Big rooms, nice lobby and bar. Check out Jaleo. It's a tapas place. Best dinner I ever had in DC.

Several good hotels in that area. Also within walking distance to Penn. Avenue, where you can get whatever you need. Plus that, it's a 15 minute walk to the Mall.
I think I've stayed in all the DC Kimpton's. Never disappoint ( well maybe that one time a sorority was having an annual bashed at the Helix. Lounge was closed for the private affair and I think I was the only dude staying at the hotel.....the horror.....me a a hundred drunk sorority girls ).
Kimpton's are trendy boutiques. Most are kinda small. Nice restaurants & lounges. And as far as I've ascertained all are friendly to....uhhhh....us.
