One agency in Chicago does this, except they have a regular area code. When you call, a machine identifies the agency by name, then asks to leave your info. In your case, this is nothing out of the ordinary, so you don't have much to worry about. Just follow the usual common sense.
So I followed an add that sent me to a 1-888 number and had an automated message asking for my # and area code... I've never seen this before, and hung up before offering any info.
Has anyone seen this before? Is it safe?
