Fun times.....

Oh, the CL. Whoo. Many a fun evening ended up there! It's become something of a late nite hipstery club. I have not been in a few years, but on weekends they have a good dj, good tunes, cold PBR and a fun vibe. Plus Blondie, who would crush an empty PBR between her breasts. For a tip of course! The bathrooms are so disgusting it's legendary.  

Back in the day, they used to have live music.  saw some good, sadly long since broken up local bands there. Not sure if they still do that.  

But....if you are out late, but want to kick it up another notch, that's not a bad place to check out...

I went here against my will once, fortunately I'll never be back!

We wound up here on the worst advice ever, needless to say the advisor gets ridiculed forever since (we are now convinced the dude is gay, how else could you not possibly care how ugly and disgusting these carnival acts are?).  We stayed 2 1/2 hours, which felt like 200 years, in the irrational hope that the night shift would be better, they are NOT.  I was not tipping, because I have a don't feed the bears policy in a strip club.  This ancient bodybuilder 5 shades darker than George Hamilton dances in front of us for too long (and I'm looking every where but at her); finally she comes over and says come on give me a dollar I'm a grandma (she sounded like an old smoker, more gravel than Satchmo).  Against my better judgement I gave her a tip to go away (I was polite, I didn't say go away), and I paid for it.  If you flash a dollar in this place, they will come after you like a pack of homeless beggars.  I spent the next half hour pinned to my chair by a fat chick's ass (she was so fat and old, that for a second I wasn't sure that she even worked there).

I'll concede that the music is better than most clubs, but it's so nasty and dirty, i guess like most strip clubs, but the women are so gross you actually notice the state of the club.

Finally my friends gave up (WTF, how they could wait so long?) and we went to the Pony for a great evening.

It could be a tourist attraction, maybe?  

Lot of the guys there looked like ZZ Top.  I guess if when you nut, dust comes out, you might not be put off by the line up.

BUT, I would would warn younger guys not to go there unless it is for a purpose.  The posts so far make it sound far, far better than it is.  No one I went there with that night enjoyed themselves at all, quite the opposite.  

Sorry to be so harsh, but that was my experience.

I have a pic of Santa clause feeling me up from there.  Btw, I must give a shout out to the band that plays every Thursday night. TL you know who is their house band on Thursdays

In the 80s, you could catch a communicable disease just breathing in there.

I was such a fuck-up - never made it inside despite 3 or 4 trips there.  That dude and his GF who used to give away Quaaludes at the 688 Club in the early 80s would be outside Clermont on certain days with 714s and in later years, XTC.    Couple pills + some cheap whiskey left us too amped and restless to sit inside
