Re: Some advice about an independent companion

It is not unusual for a provider to schedule solely through email- I personally do email only, as it gives me the opportunity to think out what needs to be said, and also to respond thoroughly and on my own time, when I have the chance. It is less demanding than a phone ringing all day, which would drive me up the wall!

As far as reviews, there are great ladies who don't have reviews, and there are horrible ladies who don't have reviews. You are taking a chance, but I think if you trust your instincts as far as your interactions with her, her site, etc. you should be okay. Just plan ahead what you will do if you arrive or she arrives and something is not right (ie. she is rude right off the bat, she is not the same girl in the photo, etc.) Plan ahead, think it through, and know the risks- you'll be fine. Hope it goes well and good luck!! :)

I'm seeing an independent companion in Manhattan this evening.  It is my initial contact with a provider.  I couldn't find any reviews and all contact has been via e-mail.  Is this unusual?  Any tips would be appreciated.

Seeing someone without reviews is always chancey.

To know whether she is a good provider or not, you just have to go from the way she makes you feel.  Do you have any idea how long she's been doing this?

I would suggest you post her name on the New York board and see if you get any responses.

Also, to know whether or not she is LE, did she suggest any specific sexual activites in exchange for a specific sum of money?  If so, that is the sign of LE.

Did she ask for references and/or personal information (work phone, address, etc.)?  If not, that is a sign of LE.

If you answer yes to the first and no to the second, I would break it off; too much risk.

Thanks mrfisher.  I answered no to both questions but the fact that she did not ask for any references or personal information (i.e.) work number, cell made me suspicious. You probably saved me alot of trouble and $$$.

Not asking for personal references is not always a  sign that she's LE, if that's what you're implying.  Nor does it mean that she is a substandard provider.  It is at least a sign that she is not as security conscious as she could be.  I just saw an incredible provider this weekend that did not ask for references and when I offered, she declined saying that she believed me.  I had a great time and will write that review soon.

It's fine for hobbyists to walk away if they think they might be walking into a bad situation but some really good providers just aren't as strict with references.

BTW, it is also fine to walk away if you get to the door and she is not who she said she was.  You are not obligated to pay for a bait and switch.  If you stay anyway, consider the money gone.

and I don't want to imply that it is automataically the case that this implies that they are LE; however, it is just one facet of a situation and if enough warning signs show up, it's time to bail.
