Pass the fucking spoon please.

Lesbians, handicap kid, and a black woman from the adoption agency. We missing anybody?

Guess I'm old school. The purpose of business is business, stay within the guard rails. General Mills comes out with an inter-racial family for their Cheerios commercial. Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks, decides to empower his baristas to talk race with its customers while making a soy latte caramel macchiato cup of coffee. That lasted a whopping 1 day before being pulled. And now Wells Fargo. Expect more of these types of commercials.

My favorite commercial today is Direct TV with Hannah Davis. She is hot, but then what would you expect from a Derek Jeter girlfriend.  

"In this heartwarming parenting ad from Wells Fargo, a lesbian couple prepares for motherhood together in the sweetest way."

"More tissues, please."

Yes, more tissues to wipe up the marketing feces we were supposed to devour.

I saw love in the commercial, you saw something else !

Evidently you know nothing about humanity, love and compassion.
  No wonder your marriages were failures.

 I saw a couple women working hard to nurture their family.

 As usual the huff post left out part of the story.
    The two ladies are married in real life.

I imagine it's the later, given banks are into making money, not making political or social statements. Most likely they have identified a potential growing market, and they want those in that market to believe that Wells Fargo 'get's them."

There's an overwhelming number of children needing families, living in orphanages, group homes and foster homes. I'm not certain about all gays couples, however the ones' that I've known, aren't adopting or fostering to adopt children as a means of financial support like a great many straight parents, in the foster care system, are doing. And, many of the children in the system are their because they have a disability, and the birth parents can't handle it emotionally and/or financially.

In short, the ad just shines a light on a reality that many people don't really want to address, and they will probably make a good profit in doing so.
