What Fridays117 said = the money is in Manhattan

There are many girls working in Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn but at lower rates than you can get in Manhattan.
The market rates for Manhattan are 500/hr and up. Even if a girl charges 350 for the areas outside Manhattan, she will hear crickets. The BP sections for SI, Brooklyn, Queens are full of girls charging very low rates and guys will not pay more than they are used to get over there.
So, is better to stick with Manhattan = not only you can get the rates you want, but also you will get better clients. Not to mention being SAFER regarding LE.
Long Island has LOTS of great guys and they are very short on quality providers BUT LE will go after the girls because they don't want us there. They can pass screening, reason no girls tour LI anymore. Is not safe for mongers either and they will hobby in Manhattan instead.

Midtown is the most popular place for out of town ladies. This is our theatre district and where Times Square is located, as well as Rockefeller Center, radio City Music hall, etc.

Further south is the Greenwich village (known by NYers simply as "the village") and bit further south is the Soho area, also popular with some touring ladies.

If it's your first time, I would recommend midtown as that can be a hub for you and is equi-distant to uptown and Lower Manhattan (Wall Street, Statue of Liberty, 9/11memorial area) if sightseeing is on your docket

I would agree - midtown is best bet- midtown is generally considered from 42nd street ( Times Square) to 60th (Central Park)- theater distri

Time for me to repost the map!

Not everyone agrees on the exact boundaries or names. "Midtown" can be used very narrowly or to cover a big wide swath of the island. The key thing is, if you tell someone SoHo, they know you're not on the UWS, even if someone else calls that location The Village.

(In NYC, SoHo = South of Houston. In NYC, Houston is pronounced HOUSE-ton, not YOU-ston as in Texas.)

And my two cents:

The most convenient places are the broader meaning of "midtown" which conveys that pink section on the map but also the surrounding areas.  My advice is to avoid being too far east (First Ave) or too far west (11th Ave).  The subways are mostly between Lexington (North-South on the east side) and 7th Ave (NS on the west side).  I'd say to stay between 3rd Ave and 8th Ave at the E-W extremes and maybe 14th St (southern limit) and 59th St (northern limit).  Those are GENERALITIES; lots people work in the Wall St / Financial District, too.  Lots of people are fine going up to the 70s-80s-90s, but the numbers dwindle.

Edit: I forgot to include the map! Here it is:

Times Square can be expensive.  There are a number of hotels on Lexington Ave between 42nd St. and 51st St.  These hotels seem to be escort friendly, as they are highly used by many traveling and local women.

I wonder why I don't see many people talking about queens, downtown brooklyn, Staten Island etc. Just curious, are those cities considered hobby friendly ?

Its just that Midtown places you in the center of all the action, and for peeps who haven't experienced the Big Apple before, it is most likely the best bet to combine the hobby with personal/civie pursuits like doing all the touristy stuff.

Tougher to get around without a car in outer boroughs and even then, where would you park?  Likewise, tourists and businessmen are where the money is concentrated in Manhattan.  Outer boroughs are more middle class and poor areas which means clients who want to pay less, not more for a provider.  I used to live in Queens and there were a few agencies I used back then (we are talking 20 years ago).  I live on Long Island now and find myself either calling my ATF to come out from where she lives in NYC to come out to me, or I make the trek into the city because not only is LE more vigorous on LI, but there are less choices.

I have to disagree that the market rates in Manhattan start at 500/hour.  There are many exceptional women who's rates are lower than that.  I am not talking about the BP 200-300 girls.  I mean well reviewed women who advertise here on TER.  There are some in the 300/350 range (I think mostly agencies) and 400 is where a lot of the indies start.

And, certainly, there are plenty of women who command well more than that. Manhattan is definitely the better choice for someone looking to have more freedom in where they decide to set their rates.

Maybe I am doing something wrong? LOL

Almost all decent looking, well reviewed, good younger provider in the city is asking $500/hr for GFE/FS.

Now if you are talking about a rub and tug girl, or maybe a girl that doesn't kiss at all and everything covered, well, maybe.

I can't speak for every single gal's pricing, but I certainly strongly disagree with your assertion that "$400 is where a lot of Indy's start."

That is more in line with DC and Boston pricing.

I would say here in NYC, they started at $500 approx 5 years ago, and now have drifted to $600 and higher in the past year or two.

Of the top 100 TER-rated providers in NYC, about 25 of them charge $400/hour.  There are also a few who are charging $450.  Based on this sample, there must be many more good providers to be found at less than $500.

I actually did find more than I thought when I gave that list a better glance.

Now many are agency girls and I am sure some of the TER rates are a bit outdated but I even checked some of the gals websites against the TER rate and found several hot, younger girls under $500.

Most of the girls I am personally attracted to are in the 600-700 range but I have to give you props for doing your homework.

Great post as you now gave me a good 5-10 very good leads!

I tip my cap to the both of you!

LMAO. Rub & tug girls, or girls who don't kiss.  That's the 200 range.

Hell, plenty of excellent women can be found even below 400, but that requires more work and it's more hit or miss.  I stand by the 400 as the general starting point for "market price" in manhattan.

Many girls websites lists their rates higher than what is on their TER profiles.
Many TER profiles are outdated on rates and basic information because girls don't update it often. Actually, some information that is on our profiles we cannot change.
I see many girls listing 350 on TER and you check their websites and they are 450 or 500 - if they are touring NYC sometimes there is a surcharge to cover the traveling costs.
I looked at the ad section for this week and the majority of the girls are in the 500 up range and many have 90 minutes minimum

I actually did check a number of them and the TER price matched their websites.

I wasn't expecting many at all at that price point as I feel I know the city well but I was wrong.

While there weren't a ton, there were more than I had anticipated to find.

Like I said, search the NY Ad board for "400" and you will see plenty of hits.  4 pages worth of hits just searching the last 30 days.  Sure, some of them are false positives (1400 for example) but most are women advertising $400 rates.

There are quite a few at that range.  I understand it is in the best interest of providers bottom line to charge 500-600, but as a customer I will try to get the most bang for the buck (no pun intended).  While I am not above spending 450-500 (and have and will again), I also have seen ladies in the 350-400 range in the city and they were wonderful.  Ladies, charge what you will, you will still have business, theres enuff guys to go around at all levels of prosperity but don't deny there is lower cost available because there is.
