Rock Center Tree Lighting once of the worst messes of the year. Tourist Invasion and more.  Avoid Rock Center, Times Square and all surrounding areas.  To say the least  IT SUCKS!!!!

Wednesday, December 2 is a Gridlock Alert Day. Each year during the holiday season, the Department of Transportation designates Gridlock Alert Days as some of the busiest traffic days of the year. Whether you are traveling to work, for shopping or recreation, please take public transportation whenever possible.
 
The following streets may be closed at the discretion of NYPD between 5 pm and 9 pm for the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony:
* 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue between 46th Street and 52nd Street
* 46th Street to 52nd Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue
* Rockefeller Plaza between 48th Street and 51st Street
