Social Security Admin. seizes tax refund because of overpayments...
...Sounds OK, but the refund they seized wasn't from the person who received the overpayment; the SSA overpaid a parent but seized the tax refund of a grown-ass, independent child of the parent. Then they lied and said they didn't do it (although they claimed they had the legal right to do it).
That's hubris! It's also bureaucracy as usual.
They will most often become ruthless against citizens they govern, when given authority to serve and protect.
