I would have expected opponents to be tearing their hair out about it.  But most commentators have said it's a stronger deal for the western powers than they'd been led to believe.  Of course, no one knows the details yet.
My take is the Iranians were hurting from the sanctions more than they let on.  Even with the lifting of some sanctions already, more than $100 billion of Iranian funds were still tied up.  Iran's oil production had fallen drastically because there's no market for it.  Iran's oil infrastructure deteriorated because it couldn't buy the needed parts.  It will probably take Iran a year to get its oil production back to pre-sanctions levels.
Now we'll see if the Iranian hard-liners can be kept in check

It is a framework or Outline of one. Obama and Kerry were so anxious to get something to they begged and pleaded with Iran to say its a Framework towards a deal.
You know how our President likes to take Victory laps.....albeit way premature.

We were all waiting for you and want a full and detailed explaination as to why it took you so fucking long.

Despite obama’s rose garden speech (remember the Bergdahl’s) in which obama is trying to take a victory lap before the deal is done. obama is pathetically and desperate trying to do something for his legacy and in my opinion that all he cares about in this nuke deal is his legacy.

Thank You
2015 = 2

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” VICTORY LAP!

Internet is a bitch, once some gets there, it is always there regardless how much effort is put in into erase it by BSCs

In the past month Iran's leader has agreed that "Death to America" is an appropriate slogan, they conducted are games against a mock U.S. ship, stated that the destruction of Isreal is not negotiable, spread terror to Yemen and thereby overthrowing our main ally in the region that Obama declared was a success, and two hours after Obama gave his victory speach they called him a liar.  (That is just the last month of what this regime is like.  Want more?)

Obama said he would "snap on sanctions if they cheat, like crossing a red line or something.  They must be quaking.

But you expect Bad Bibi and the GOP to be plotting against this deal with our negotiating partner. I would say anyone working against this deal with that regime is a hero.

The only problem, Obama stands in his way. Bibi will have to wait a wee bit longer to get a more naive/pliable Republican puppet to carry out his wish.

The Iranian research site is so deep under ground our military and Israel's agree neither country has the weapons to reach it.  So, if bombing won't work, what else is there besides an inspection regime?  Oh, right. Turn Iran into a glass parking lot.  And in the process kill millions who actually prefer us to the Ayatollahs.

WASHINGTON—The Pentagon has upgraded and tested the largest bunker-buster bomb in the U.S. arsenal, senior U.S. officials said, readying a weapon that could destroy or disable Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facilities should a nuclear deal fall apart and the White House decide to take military action.

Are you saying it would be a good idea to find out?  Especially if there's an alternative?  Let's just say this deal works and Iran can't try to start building a bomb until 2025? Would that be a bad thing? Why? maybe by then we'll have a bunker buster that would actually work.

Yep.

Iran and other regimes have openly called for the destruction of  Israel.  As recently as a couple weeks ago.

Hezzbolah favors Zionism because it said it can just kill all the Jews without going around the world.

Iran seems to be behind the bombing in Buenos Aires killing over 70 people.  They had the mass murder in Mumbai.

Cafe bombs, bus bombs, market bombs.

After the '67 war, EVERY Moslem nation rejected peace, demanding as a condition of peace that Israel be destroyed.

Yep.  That Bibi is just a war monger.

Two questions - if you dare.
1. What would happen tomorrow if Israel put down its arms and said "no more fighting?"
2. What would happen tomorrow if the Palestinians and other Moslems did the same?

Do you think Israel would march to Damascus killing everyone.  Do you think the Arabs would march to Tel Aviv killing everyone.

Or was that only from the DC Board?  I'm confused.  Still, it's nice to see you spouting the same old crap. To hell with Bibi! You're my hero!

and as you read deep into this article the daunting tasks ahead become clear.  I don't think the the West can trust Iran, period.  If a tight agreement can be made and the sanctions are stepped back as Iran modifies its behavior and complies the agreement and IF the IAEA  (UN Nuke watchdog) can really have unfettered access THEN it has a chance to work.   But, let's face it, all the “moving parts” of this deal will find challenges on both sides.  If it turns out to be a “good deal” as Obama said (and yes, I'm very skeptical of anything he says) and we can avoid the military option to remove Iran's capability to build a nuke, I will join many others in saying that is good.

To the Lefties; MANY conservatives would applaud a "real deal".  We don't trust Obama, but, I think the wild cards in this "deal" are the hard liners in Iran, not the ones in the US.

That will drive all the Republicans crazy...Repub will say its a shit deal on Fox, Boulton, Cheney will still say bomb the the Iranians....Let's see the details of the deal because as of now, the ink isn't dry. Now let's see how Russia and China react.

When the Iranians dance in the street...chant Death to America...call the 'would be King' a liar, I'd wait to proclaim 'victory'..

.......with three options. Outright war with Iran, Nuclear arms race in Middle East or a Nuclear arms deal.

If Republicans scuttle the deal by imposing further sanctions, then European countries will remove their sanctions leaving only U.S sanctions in place. Iranians will then proceed with producing as many centrifuges as possible and continue to enrich Uranium to high levels and BLAME the U.S. for scuttling the Nuclear deal. This will result in a Nuclear weapons race in the Middle East where countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Egypt will either buy Nuclear devices outright or manufacture their own. Israel alone cannot launch an attack on the Iranian Nuclear facilities and there is very little American appetite for starting another war in the Middle East, so the only option left is proliferation of Nuclear arms in the Middle East which will be blamed on the U.S by the World community of Nations.

It's all good to link to an article or opinion piece and post that you agree (or disagree) with the author, but to post that author's thoughts as your own isn't honest.

The link is to the actual author of the thoughts HONDA posted, William S. Cohen.
Just a sample quote from the link  "President Obama has put both Congressional Republicans and our Middle Eastern allies in something of a box"

that's the problem with the King. his actions are always political...he never, ever thinks to do what is best for the country...or in this instance the world. he got taken and time will tell...will you be here to admit failure?
