Hi , why not look into hotels in midtown ? If you schedule on the same days as another provider also looking for a place to stay like Flora maybe you can split the room and expenses . If you book your appointments in the same day rather than making yourself available 24/7 365 you maybe able to make it work out for yourself and make a friend along the way. I understand Flora is a living doll .
Some of the hotel listing websites have sales and competitive prices for the area . Good luck , Pollie

So sorry to hear that love, I wish you luck as well
I tried to co-list with an agency but I'm low volume and their not accepting ethnic girls

Hello All,

Unfortunately i do not have access to the providers board, not sure how to get approved

Having a hard time finding sublets on Craigslist. They are all brokers disguised as sublets. Went to airbnb and also seeing rooms at 300$ and up per night, unless its in the projects. I recently left law school to figure out what I want, currently looking to try and work a couple months in NYC. I am flexible. I can rent a room for a short amount of time or longer. Or share an apartment if anyone is looking for help with the rent by sharing expenses. Also i can do a SWAP with my DC apartment located in Dupont Circle. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have noticed an increasing number of independent Providers who co-list with agencies in the cities to which they tour.  Their home city is all indy but, while touring, the local agency can help you with local accommodations and local client reservations (if their screening meets with your approval).  The full-time booker leaves you time for both business and pleasure and you not having to worry about missing a caller.

As I understand it, and that might not be very well, guys might try to contact you via your indy web site info  or via the agency web site info and the booker confirms with you.

Some of the agencies have their own places, some are just totally on top of the local real estate and hotel rates.

You probably give up some independence and some fee for their services and they gain by having you on their website to bring in more traffic.  Maybe it's something to do for one or two tours until you're more familiar with the local landscape.

As escalade1964 would say, Your thoughts if any

I was looking at Craigslist for the last 2 months, and everything was dodgy. I wanted to go back to NYC. The only thing that's prevented me, is the lack of finding a fair apartment. Such a pity. Well good luck.. To us both

Thanks Polly,

I don't know about Flora's situation, but as for me I don't "work" often once a week or every other week with one client. My plan was to get an actual job and hobby sometimes. Reason why I am looking and hoping to room with someone preferably someone from this community of amazing women. for that reason hotels or daily rentals wouldn't work for me.
I appreciate you taking the time to help :)

Basically no one can afford to live in Manhattan anymore.  That's why you all aren't finding anything.  Obviously some ladies manage to do it, but it's a huge feat and most give up before they actually find an apartment.  Many of the ladies who work NYC live in CT, NNJ, Long Island, Queens, or Brooklyn and make the commute into Manhattan a few days each week to meet clients.  Even if you take a private car service both ways three days a week it is still cheaper to live outside of Manhattan.  Some ladies even live in Philly and take the train into NYC to meet clients.  If you can't find an apartment in Manhattan then just find a place nearby enough to visit Manhattan a few days each week.  No one can afford to live in Manhattan anymore... especially if you don't already have a rent-stabilized apartment or already own a place.  It's true that having a place could pay for itself in terms of saved hotel rent money, but getting one is nearly impossible.  Look to the outer boroughs and surrounding cities with good transit routes to NYC and you'll have more luck!!

Unless you have friends helping you or you are already in the city visiting 20 places a day to find a gem hidden in there. And by gem I mean 200sq ft apartment with no kitchen or real door.
