Slither their way out of any situation. The media is tough on her now, even the NY Times--not a conservative paper. But the Clinton MO is stonewall and deny. People have short attention spans. The election is over a year away. "Old news" they'll say. The minute she gets nominated the media will rally around her with the narrative being we have a chance to "make history".
Once again people will vote for what someone is instead of who they are.

You can't have it both ways. If the financial crisis was Bush's fault, 7 years into his presidency, the arise of ISIS 6 years into Obama's presidency is on Obama. Recall the "junior varsity" description. Some of the actions that helped create the climate for the financial crisis occurred before Bush took office, some may have been pushed by Congress or the Fed, but the bottom line is he did not stop it. Ditto for ISIS and Obama.
