Nice to know! I'm glad you take advantage of that in NYC. I have to see it live streamed here in FL when I can. I envy you having all the culture up there! Very few of my favorite singers perform here in Tampa. :( But I'll make a pilgrimage to NYC to see them. I'm thinking about venturing up there in October to see my two faves in Il Trovatore.

Yes I'm an opera fan and go regularly to the Met. I'll see classic operas as well as new productions. 3-5 per year.

Great idea. October and November too are great months for the opera. Plus you'll miss the holiday craziness. Can't go wrong.

I bet many  would change their mind and find something( at list visual ) to relate
 
Too bad this seasons MET  OPERA not playing it  
 yet  
 check what they play ( I already was commenting on their new site.. what do you think opera lovers about their new site?)

I don't remember Wozzeck being performed at the Met in the past 5 seasons.  

And after spending years training as an operatic tenor in my former life, I'm perfectly fine with Wozzeck (no significant tenor roles) not ever making an appearance at the Met.

Here one intelligent man comparing me to Gretta Garbo in Ninotochka Movie - I do admit - I overlooked possibility of me coming across as NInotochka ( It should be Ninochka of course - from name NINA it is Ninochka)

I just know a lot.. WHY?  

Because I do educate myself constantly

 (And Not relying of profit oriented media of doomed cultures which playing Kinky Boots few seasons and Mormon Books

Yet general public is learning about Mozart operas and Leo Tolstoy master piece  as is War and Peace from twisted fragments of those shedevrs played at Broadway?  
Who woild say it is NOT doomed culture?

Not as I do not like Broadway - I wish there be more high quality performances which would educate more and would keep at list one function of the art - to be an anchor for spiritual values Not just make a dollar on poor customer who just do not know where to go for entertainment paying high dollar for junk  
 
 And as to this opera - it was played in April 2011 check as well march 2014

We may be take with us two lucky gentlemen as well?  
I have such already on readiness for season :)  
May be we will meet more like minded men - as some hobbyists love set up dining in casinos and with civie friends and having lady escort with him and other couple from hobby - I still in hope to form such cagort like minded friends from hobby ( I am not in to noisy Irish pubs or clubs )
