Ok... I think I may know what happened here...

Sounds to me like there were opposing dates, they had to check with her, and you couldn't wait to hear an answer.... If something got screwed up, you have to give them time to fix it if you want it all fixed up right, right? Add in a few more ladies on the roster needing the bookers attention and a 25 minute wait time for a response really isn't that long.

Be careful. Agencies are there for screening when she doesn't want to do it herself, and if they're any good, to make sure that she doesn't have a bad experience. Don't let a little waiting make you too easy to screen ;-)

I've been a customer of Belle de Jour in the past and I contacted them tonight asking about Lexi -- I just wanted to ask a couple of questions.  Now, I've used this agency before.  It's not as if I've never contacted them.  And I didn't even ask any questions in my initial text to them, other than to ask if it was okay if I asked other questions.  Response:

BDJ: We only schedule.  Read her page.

ME: I have.  Part of it was about her schedule.  On bdjgirls, she's listed as working until 9/15, but on the main site it says 9/28.  I was just wondering about that.  A later date would work better for me.  Also, it doesn't mention if she's working only M-F or on the weekends as well.  Thank you.

NO RESPONSE
25 minutes later:

ME: I'm sorry, but have I done something wrong?  Those questions were preliminary to my attempting to schedule.  If I don't hear back from you, I won't contact you again.  Too bad.  Lexi is something else...

And hour later, NO RESPONSE.

They're not the only game in town, and that's at least $600 or $700 that Lexi WON'T be making in a week or two.  I know it's not her fault, but the agency should be taking care of their girls

OhCharlie, my question was fairly generic.  I wanted to make an appointment.  I don't know how it is with other guys in NY, but I'm working all the time, so I have very specific little windows where I can meet a lady.  I honestly didn't think asking a question about a schedule would be such a problem.

You said you were looking for an appointment later in the month.  So, why are you freaking out because they didn't respond immediately. You texted and then texted again 25 minutes later complaining they hadn't responded yet.  And now, based on that you want to give the place a bad review?  No offense, but if I were them, I'd remove you from the client list too.

It was the response that I got more than the timing.  I'm starting to believe that expensive shit service is what NYers are supposed to expect.  There's better service in other cities, especially north of the border.  I have had some good experiences here in the NY area, so I wouldn't give up on it entirely.  However, the fact that you would dismiss my comments and instantly side with the agency is kind of pathetic of you.  This is a reason why they can get away with treating their clients like stupid, annoying assholes.  Honestly we don't need and shouldn't have to put up with that shit.  We're the ones with the fucking money!

Oh, and by the way, none of the agencies in NY actually reference check.  All I have to do is call them from a different number.

Might I add that you are completely full of shit, I have NEVER sent an unscreened clients to one of my providers rooms. I have even stopped clients at the hotel before they got the room number and screened them again if I don't feel secure enough . I know for a fact that most of the agencies reference check cause I get asked for a reference.....often. One thing to also keep in mind is the fact that some of these agencies you schedule with are just an old company with a new name, so you may already be in their database. I hope you aren't a client of mine cause I sure wouldn't want you darkening my door.

This is just disgusting!

Sorry, but everything that I wrote is true, in my experience.  Let's just say that it has happened to me with several agencies.  It's not like they verified me once and I just stayed in a database, they just never verified me to begin with.  I know because I actually went through the trouble of actually getting references before I contacted them, then I offered to give them my references, and they didn't even ask.  Listen, I don't have the slightest idea who you are or where you worked, but I'm a very, very good client to the ladies that I see.  I was just pointing something out.  If you don't want my business, that's fine with me.  I'll go somewhere else.  But guess what -- there's always somewhere else.  Always.

Ok, let's entertain the idea, that you are in fact correct and these companies don't screen. I know I do, but let's say others don't. How smart do you think it is, to come out and post on a public board that these companies don't screen ? Bad for everyone, I think if you get that upset that you don't get a response after 25 minutes from a company that you feel you have to come and put the "companies" you use on blast then perhaps this isn't the industry for you.

My point was if you were a client of Agency A previously, they closed and came back as Agency B, if you are still in their database then you are already a client. Or you contact from a phone number or email address that is easily verifiable attached to Facebook or other social media, if they can google your info and easily find you, then they may feel comfortable screening you that way. You never know !

I'll just leave it at that! Happy fall

Okay, cool!  And I wonder how many guys are happy that agencies are retaining their personal information on that level.  Right?  Am I missing something?  Maybe more guys should be aware of this.

Also, I would like to point out that I don't think I was "blasting" anyone, other than pointing out that they should be more careful.  I would certainly like them to be.  That's all.  It really isn't against you personally.  I just wanted you to know that.  But, you know, it is what it is.  I mean, rentboy.com was just raided by HOMELAND SECURITY two weeks ago, not local LE.  What the fuck was that all about?  People are paying attention to what we're doing here.

There are so many clients in NYC, I'm sure they do plenty of business without having to provide good customer service.

They have hot girls and low rates. Surely they get a gazillion texts a day and just don't have the desire to answer more complicated questions.

I really doubt they care that they are losing one client (you).

I understand your frustration, but this is NYC.

I can understand that point of view, yet, when I call to make a booking, the ladies are always available.  There's a lot of competition for them in NY and I really don't think they are as busy as most people believe.

Thank you for pretty much proving my point about service in NY.

special requests/interests, you should probably deal with independent providers. Even then, there is a high risk of giving off a LE/creep first impression. So, perhaps lay off the extra curiosity before a first date and only ask questions in person (or via email) after the session to plan for a future date. That would work with agency gals or indys.

This has worked for me. Be relaxed, not too eager, make it fun.

And next time, don't blow up a valuable relationship over an isolated frustration. Instead, ask questions here or on the Reviewer's Board. Keep the pussy on your side.

Just tell the day and time that you want to see Lexi and they'll either reply, "OK" or "she's not available then"; sometimes the agency will let a girl know that someone is interested in a certain day and time and even though the girl may not be explicitly listed on the schedule for that time, once she finds out that someone is looking for that slot, she'll make herself available.

Agencies are bombarded with questions all day and they really don't have the time to answer each one--that's why many of the new agency templates are set up to provide as much provider info as possible, e.g., "GFE, MSOG, PSE, etc."--some agencies actually advertise what a girl WON'T do, which is very helpful.

Bottom line, agencies want specific days, times, and who you want to see--the less chit chat the better
