Try Desnuda, 122 E 7th St. between 1st and A in the East Village, amazing variations of Cervice and other raw fish preparations, and oysters smoked before your eyes.  Good and inexpensive wine selection too.  Very small, merely a long counter, seems to fit your interest.

Ladies I'm a pescatarian and am unfamiliar with Manhattan. Any seafood recommendations are welcome.
I enjoy small, quaint, eclectic places with small plates. Thank you!

Mary's Fish Camp, 64 Charles Street, West Village. Very small place with great fresh food. No reservations, so go there an hour before you want to eat, check in, give them your cell, and then find a nice bar and wait for the call. They have amazing fresh fish. It is a small venue, and is certainly eclectic.

I Yelp'd it and it looks amazing, thank you!

is another place called Fish (on Bleecker near 7th). Interesting and tasty menu. Pretty crowded too but at least it's a bigger place.

Whenever I'm traveling, I will use a site called Open Table. I have the app on my phone. You can even make reservations.

What I like about NYC it is -yes -amazing choice of the world kitchens..

( I wish other aspects of world culture would be represented  in NYC  so  well as gourmet preferences of many nations
What to say- people love to eat...)

I want  share this link as well - the best art exhibitions to see this summer

Welcome:) and also check such places as Dizzy Jazz - that one is one of kind- not many left even in this city high end upscale jazz places .. with  true concert environment, best groups, and fine dining - as well amazing sea food:)

I do not like Blue note, sorry .. staying loyal  to classical forms of entertainment... gentlemen true gentlemen LOVE it and appreciate romantic classy time spend there

As well if you be in the mood as not to sleep at all in the city which never sleeps -
just visit The Box cabaret, Love it!! But this one I am visiting with dates only.
I trully love as well Russian places as "Tea Room", and "Samovar piano club" , but it is very specific  ( if some one would like taste 20+ kinds of Vodka :)) then yes.. and if someone ejoys by some reasons wildest russian and  not russian life piano violin, cello and guitar  music  with live voice .. Then check it as wel l it is open till 3- 4 am The best nights - Friday and Saturday of course
Broadway shows!! Now , in July "American in Paris" .. and many more.

Any way.I wish you you have  amazing time in NYC with amazing gentleman/ men
I always say that here in NYC way more things to fo then let s say in Vegas or any other vacation place. yet I love Vegas , when I am invited to Vegas - he does plan all - here I am planning:) Not too bad. As well if European trips - I also am planning.( for American gentlemen and very appreciate when gentlemen plans himself as well ( bit not trips to China or Africa or Emirates!!)
My dream is take gentlemen to Russia and be tralstaro and show there all and in Moscow and in St Petersburg   and take him to Golden Ring,  and way way way MORE !! Life is not just in dark hotel rooms for 3 hours. But soo nice then to deep down in fresh cool room from sunny streets and make amazing love:) chilling out with smooth jazz and striptease and tease .. or just start form that:)
Enjoy NYC!!!
There no other city in the world as NYC  THAT I can confirm for all 10000 %  Even there many other lovely and interesting and beautiful and darling to heart cities on our planet .. yet NYC is just .. different, you have to love the city and people here.
Even they say sometime that G train is still a legend for them:)
yes take Taxi when it is possible, as to subways - if it ABSOLUTELY necessary. Ran by central park in the morning around the lake or just by Hudson to Battery park, rent city bike, and .. and here is soo much to do! Go to Trump hotel have drinks, To NYC palace. Where I would not go - that is NYC swingers clubs- just may be  seat drink and socialize - make friends but NOT lay down on on those mattresses.. yakk.. I would stay away from al most all of them in NYC ( Dirty, dark ,and gypsy, like with too much diversity in there as to my taste. No clean. But  Ancient bath  http://www.ancientbathsny.com/  I would recommend as go out if  it is mood as to get out of the hotel room even if there is Jacuzzi..
Myself I also love Russian Turkish Greek banays with massage ( 100 F) with broom from eucalyptus( or birch) branches.. following with cold icy water over all body  then wrapped in robes or just in swim suites  go to the dining tables drink bear or Russian tea.. but there be a lot of Russian and greek people and there may be you would not hear English at all ( some gentlemen just do not like when they do not understand  language - but some love to learn on the spot and talking to every pretty girl there.. I do not mind !!! ) So generally .. myself I have good times in NYC
I wish you and everybody to find the best time in NYC .

Love

There are a few around NY. I go too the one on the upper east side. The lobster roll is great
