Here are some more!

95% of what you can do to avoid LE happens long before you pick up the phone.

1)  If you haven't yet, get VIP status!!!  You will see much more detail, be able to PM other hobbyists, and see not only providers profile, but also a reviewer's history.

2) Find a lady with a minimum number of reviews (what that number is depends on your level of comfort, some say 4, some 6, others 10, etc.)  You also want to look for reviews covering a period of time, for me, at least 3-4 months.  You also want to check out the reviewers (here is where VIP is most important).  You should be looking for reviewers who have at least 5-6 reviews over at least a 6 month time period (and the more of them the better.  Why, do you ask?  Given that most of the stung will only be convicted of misdemeanors and will only have to pay a fine, most LE organizations will not spend much time and money to create false profiles and reviews to enforce this class of crime.  The thing you want to avoid is a new provider, who has some reviews, all of whom have reviewed here, and only here!!!

Now here is the good news.  The LE threat isn’t as great as you think.   Most of the regular advisors here have played for years without LE intervention.  Just be smart, listen to advice, and have fun.

As for NJ specific advice, you’ll want to look at the New York and Philadelphia boards.  I know from a google search, there was a crack-down on the hobby in NJ a couple of years ago.  Likewise, there were some trouble-makers making unsubstantiated LE claims a few months ago, which has been cleaned up.  Of course if you are a VIP, you could PM some of the regulars for more info.

Oh BTW, when you do finally pick up the phone, try to relax, be yourself, and as always, honesty is the best policy.  If she wants your real name as part of verification and you want any hope of seeing her, give her your real name!
