Avra is amazing, the best Greek I've had besides.....oh, can't mention names but she's a brunette, petite, Irish and all 10/10. The food is fresh and tasty (for dining at the R, not the Y) plus they make their own desserts, including fig ice cream (yum). Great decor, and a convenient Midtown East location. Rates? About the same as Manhattan 9/9er on TER.  

Oh, and treat her nice fellas....Haha!

Hi guys, I know New York City is the Mecca for delicious food so I definitely need recommendations for the must see places.  I always try to experience the food in any new city I visit so all recommendations are greatly appreciated.
What I'm looking for: Ambiance & Great Food
Cuisine: Sushi, Steak, Ethnic, Italian, etc.
Location: Anything near Midtown
Basically just throw it out there if you think I should know about it.

Tao is a really good place vim a steak eater so a few places I like are Del Frisco, The Palm, NYY steakhouse, and I recently found this "gem" through groupon it's called 212 Steakhouse

Mas Farmhouse - went with my ATF and she wanted to go again the next time she was visiting me.  She normally wants to try some place new, but she said it was outstanding.

I suggest the tasting menu where the chef makes things based on your likes/dislikes.  You don't know what will be next until it arrives.

Darbar Grill

all are great choices if seeking curry and nan and lots of spice.
