I never heard of a shooting at a Hospital But the have guards with guns every where you go.
There have been several documented shooting incidents which have taking place at hospital campuses.

Earth to cumstainzone: the genie is out of the bottle. I'm actually in favor of gun control and strict background checks. But the reality is this country is awash in guns. 300 million of them. Criminals can easily get them, as can terrorists. After the attacks in France, I'm getting a pistol permit and a shotgun. I will be in a position to protect myself. You think so? Armed and trained cops are getting killed, LOL.
The cops who were murdered were ambushed and had no chance to defend themselves. But if I'm attacked in my home I at least have a chance to get my weapon and defend myself.

Involving a shooting at a hospital campus, was due to crime on the street involving the use of an illegal handgun. Yes this took place in a city/state ran by Democratic heads of state and stringent gun laws.
