TER's boards weren't designed without "stickies", and this was a decision made long before I came onboard.

I'll contact the powers that be about maybe changing the board's intro statement, but it is a fine line.  This board is here to help newbies.  A blanket statement saying read before you post wouldn't be exactly welcoming.

Hi mistabeo,

Welcome to the newbie board.

Here are a couple of quick FYI's -

1) The discussion boards on TER are moderated, and every new poster starts out with moderated status.  That means the board moderator has to approve posts before they are seen by the public.

2) Some boards, like the newbie board have specific rules, which are frequently posted.  One of the rules here is that “in search of” or referral posts aren’t allowed.

If you’d like tips on searching for a newbie friendly provider in LA/OC, this is the place.  But for specific referrals, you need to post on the LA board.

Is there any way you can post links at the top of the forum that stay at the top?  Or maybe at least a statement that says "search the forum before posting a question!!"?  Seems as though the same questions are asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

i wouldn't know what keywords to put in to search for the question i'm asking for. could you give me a little advice? what keywords? maybe "new" and "escort suggest"?

see, i knew that my message was moderated the 2nd time i posted. the first time, it kinda froze on me so i thought the post didn't go through.
