Tim Pawlenty: "Let's grow the economy by 5%."  Obama-check.

Mitt Romney: "We get the unemployment rate down to 6%, and perhaps a little lower."  Obama-check.

Newt Gingrich:  "I believe we can get gasoline to somewhere between $2.00 and $2.50 a gallon."  Obama-check.

I wonder why people even take the GOP seriously in the first place.

They have worked against this President and look at the economy.

Just wait they will take credit for it themselves! Lol

Did Obama press a button at his desk to lower gas prices? When it was 3.50 a gallon a year ago was he propping up the price to help his oil buddies? Besides, the envirochondriacs are big part of the Democrat voting bloc. Oh,this must be dire times for them. People might go out and buy gas guzzlers again!
And when the stock market boomed in the 80s the left derided it as the '" decade of greed". Now the bull market is celebrated. What's the difference? Reagan was president in the 80s.

CO2 levels are at 400 ppm already and will continue maintain that level or climb further even if we stop everything right now (which we won't).

The next hundred years will prove to be very interesting (as in 'Chinese proverb' interesting)

......were quick to blame Obama and his administration. Surely with gas prices now falling shouldn't he get credit. Obama and this administration actually have zero control over gas prices. Global supply and demand determines prices. It appears the Saudis and OPEC are now determined to put "marginal" U.S. shale oil drillers out of business once and for all.

so you say obama has no control over gas prices but I have to give credit anyway? No,he does not control it. Just like Bush, when your left wing buddies said it was high because he was an oil man. It is a matter of supply and demand,a concept leftists have trouble understanding.

Hey did you hear this:

Michelle Bachmann at a 2012 GOP debate:

"If I am elected President I will bring gas prices down to $2 a gallon".   You say Presidents have no control over gas prices?    Think again.

Does Bachman have control over her own mind?

I defy you to name one thing 0bama has done to bring about any of those things.

If it weren't for him and his policies the US would most likely be producing at least another 2,000,000 BOPD, which in this current environment would have had the effect of driving prices down to thirty bucks a barrel or so. So thank you Obama for stifling oil production in this country, and lets curb shale oil drilling completely.

Come to think of it, maybe I will vote Dem in 2016?

The 2009 economic stimulus saved the country from free fall, put money in to the economy and started the recovery process:

1. Extended unemployment benefits to millions
2. Picked up 65% of COBRA premium of millions who lost their jobs & health insurance (thanks Dubiya).
3. Financial assistance to states (those who accepted) to work on infrastructure projects. (Michelle Bachmann, Paul Ryan, Rick Perry etc., sent letters asking for that money and got it)

This was a start and it picked up steam and what we are seeing today is its result.   DOW at historical high, Unemployment at 5.8,  Retirement and 401(k) balances at record high, 7 million previously uninsured now have health insurance (more money to private sector).

What the President sowed we are reaping now

Take your drivel to Australia. These so called successful plans grow the nations debt which then becomes the burden of the taxpayer.

Did you notice America is lobbying a new war with North Korea?

Sure it did, buddy. Notice how all of Obama's "achievements" are stopping what the Left says WOULD HAVE happened? And given their collective record of predictions, that's not saying much. This idea that the 2008 recession was going to continue until America was completely bankrupt is a very mean thing to say about Bill Clinton who just wanted to help people (Democrats) when he started the housing bubble.

Paying millions not to work: how can that fail?

Again, W did not start the housing bubble. He inherited it. In fact, Bush tried to reform Fannie and Freddie but the Dems attacked him for it. Called him heartless and uncaring.

And where did the federal government get that money? From those states! It was their money so of course they're going to do what they can to get back what's left after the beaurocracies has gotten their greasy paws in it.

Oh yeah. That was the plan all along. 6 years of 0bama induced misery followed by a weak recovery. Brilliant!

If you are not prospering in the current economy there are couple of things:

1. You are HS drop out who cannot get a job
2. You are working at McDonalds or Burger King or Wal*Mart
3. You go to ER when you get sick
4. You don't have a savings account or a retirement 401(k)
5. You have not left your hometown and gone outside to see what it is like.
6. Last but not least, your TV is glued to FOX Pews
