NRA has nothing to fear from Dr. Murthy unless they fear he lied, when he said he wouldn't use the Surgeon general's office as a bully pulpit for gun control, while addressing the biggest killer of Americans, obesity.
IMO, With the Ebola virus knocking on our doors, Dr. Murthy is a good choice as Surgeon general, especially so since he's a pioneer in Drs. without borders.
Win Win for both sides , America will have a good Surgeon general , NRA will raise more money
