In 2014 my friend + colleague who use to be a sex worker, and who    
is a current academic and sex worker rights activist,  conducted a similar research    
project in Alaska, the results showed horrific abuses at the hands of law    
enforcment. She has since used her research findings to lobby Alaska's politicians    
to draft legislation that will give "equal protection" to sex workers and she is    
already making great progress.
