I seem to recall someone here being concerned about the IRS scandal. Maybe that was a different liberal here? lol.

I guess since it has gotten much worse since that certain someone was concerned, there is no reason to be concerned now since Barry said there wasn't a "smidge of corruption".

I stand by what I said, and it's not my fault Issa is a failure. I view his position and committee as being a very important to keeping our government working for the people; particularly when the Senate and President of from the opposite party that holds the House. I still don't see any charges brought by anyone. If there is anything behind the charges being made, I'm all for the people being prosecuted. But, there's not, so that tells me there's little or nothing to be prosecuted. Pointing out what a failure Issa is doesn't mean I don't want an administration that behaves according to law, whether Republican or Democrat. For you to imply otherwise makes you sound very partisan.  ;)

Yes, you are right to an extent. I don't follow much of this closely. I have no ax to grind. When someone's feet are being held to the fire (someone is being prosecuted for some malfeasance), then I pay attention. That which is talked about on Fox, lamestream media, etc, or speculations based on it, post on this board, hold very little interest for me.

You blame Issa but I see no true blue Americans on the left trying to get to the bottom of this. If you could point some out to me, I will listen.

All I hear I ever hear from the left is "faux scandal this" and "faux scandal that."

Just remember something Matt. Just because a criminal gets away with something, doesn't mean the detectives were failures. Sometimes the crooks are just that good at their craft.

So, your simplistic thinking; thinking in terms of black and white, left vs. right, is severely limited. I seriously doubt that there are many people, who pay taxes, who are in favor of government waste or corruption. Most people want just want government to work for them, and at what they deem a reasonable amount of their personal investment. It has nothing to do with size.

No kidding. Sure there is waste in military spending. But  federal govt  is mandated by  
the Constitution to provide for defense. And many do not want  the government  to

"Work for them" they want it to get out of the way. More govt means more waste and less  freedom.

And, have you really looked closely for any part of government that is working, or just read the headlines about those that are not. Typically, like in many companies, very little stands out when all aspects of the company is working well. It's only when one aspect, department, etc. fails, then it's the failure stands out.
