I am looking for a web designer who can assist me in creating a webpage for myself. I am looking for something that will be very easy to use- as I am a total Luddite (Give me smoke signals any day!!) I would prefer someone with experience dealing with the industry.

Simple, super easy and free until you're ready to go live and get your own domain. There's no need to really hire anyone anymore as you can produce your own stunning website by yourself with very little knowledge of design. Plus their customer service guys are super helpful if you are stuck with any part of it.

You can create a pretty unique and modern website with Wix or Squarespace.
