There is a latency period for STDs and it varies with each kind. Some infections can be detected within a few days; the really important one = HIV can go undetected for 30 days. That's why the porn industry requires two negative tests, a month apart. Maybe there are newer, more sensitive tests, but I'll stick with 30 days for now.
If you get tested together on March 1 and the tests are negative, you only know that you and she are clean as of Feb 1 (or Jan 29). If you or she were playing around with others in the interim (Valentine's Day celebration?), BBFS or even covered, you can become infected and still test negative on Mar 1.
Unless it's urgent, it will take a day or more to get results, depending on the test. Then, you'll have to trust that she was inactive over those couple of days.
