This is why Nancy Pelosi won last night and Harry Reid is still in the senate.regular_smile

I know these two still know how to fight!
So I am not worried about either one of them for the next two years

After the GOP has nearly run the board, the entire group on MSNBC tonight finally tells the truth about Harry Reid. Tonight they throw Reid under the bus, blaming his "Just Say No to Allowing Votes" policy as the entire problem the Democrats faced in this election. MSNBC admits the Senate Dems could never win with their total defense strategy.

OK, we know it's not the entire problem but my point here is that if the liberal media had been honest all along about Harry and that Reid and the Senate Dems were the REAL "Party of No", maybe things wouldn't have been so bad for them now. Even more importantly, Harry would not have "gotten away with it" and stuff would have actually gotten done.

Harry Reid was the idiot who shutdown the government in 2013 with is not allowing votes on legislation from the house.

No more obstruction?? Remember, the ACA and going back to the Bush tax cuts are off the table?..Time will tell.

What I said is the liberal media admitted tonight they have been lying about the Democrats (especially in the Senate). Certainly the House Republicans have said no to Obama over the past 6 years. I would argue they did it primarily on principles. Agree or not a case can be made.

MSNBC admitted Harry Reid was blocking votes and playing defense for 4 years solely to protect his members from scrutiny and criticism, knowing all along that the media would (and did) protect them. He got away with it because he knew the Republicans would take all the blame. Sure, the Republicans deserve their share but not all of it.

I have been a long time critic of the MSM in regards to their failings and their lack of trust of the First Amendment. If the media had not taken this stance then Reid would not have gotten away with this and all sides would have been forced to actually work together.

What will happen now? I have no clue. I hope the Republicans try to work with Obama. It's not going to be everyone singing Kumbaya, it's not suppose to be but all Harry can do now is invoke the filabuster.  But Obama is in the drivers seat to use this opportunity to heal the wounds or create a shit storm of a constitutional crisis. Being the ideologue that I know him to be I would bet he's contemplating the latter but I hope not. We can only wait and see.

You are trying to be fair and honest with both sides.
The problem is your party does not and will not work with this President.
They want power and this is what it's all about for them.

Don't make me laugh bigguy ... who on the left was willing to work with Bush?

Do you even think about what you're saying?

What say you regarding the lies and misleading news reports the main stream media has put forward for the last 4 years blaming the GOP House for all the obstruction while ignoring Harry Reid's complicity in blocking progress?

if you believe the MSM has ignored Mr. Reid's complicity in blocking progress:

"Mr. Reid’s brutish style matters beyond the marbled chamber of the Senate. Senate legislation has increasingly turned into a battle over amendments and Mr. Reid’s uncompromising control over the process. The six Republicans who voted to take up the unemployment bill on Tuesday expected at least to be allowed votes on their amendments to shape the legislation.

Instead, Mr. Reid dismissed all Republican proposals as unacceptable and then proposed his own new unemployment deal. Under it, benefits would be extended until mid-November of this year, and paid for largely by extending a 2 percent cut to Medicare health providers in 2024. Republicans were outraged, and an obscure procedural fight is likely to leave up to three million out-of-work Americans without benefits."

I do think you have confused the MSM with Fox News LOL

I will give you that I forgot to attach the liberal prefix after my first assertion in the OP. Care to do some more research to inform us how many casual media readers/watchers (i.e. the vast majority of everyone) have ever been given this NYT's take on Reid?

I bet even you buy into the crap that it's all the GOP's fault. You certainly can't deny there's a seemingly unending supply of those believers.

BTW, it's interesting you're compelled to speak on behalf of other posters here.

You don't seem to have any problem with the liberals here who routinely tout the MSM meme that the house repubs are the sole obstructionists.

Odd how you could never seem to find that link all those times. Lol.

Heck no.  The Republicans recieved a victory!  Theyu will continue to stonewall any progress to help average Americans for the next two years!  The GOP only care about those that are earning 7 figure incomes!

now better off under this administration? Hardly.

Don't envy people that work hard and make a good living.  But I suppose as long as you can get your voter base to believe that then you'll get the votes.

BTW, how much do think DEMS like Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and all of the Hollywood set make? You know, those with 7 figure incomes, lol

Oh that's right, they get a pass for being wealthy!

I look at the policies and the adjenda of the Party.  Everything the GOP does is for the beterment of the wealthy!

.......the two best Democratic leaders we've had in a long time IMHO. Whichever Democrat leader that causes the right wing nutbags to froth in the mouth and brings out their vitriol/hate is A++ in my books........lol

What, the same racist Harry Reid that said:
Obama, as a black candidate, could be successful thanks, in part, to his "light-skinned" appearance and speaking patterns "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

And Pelosi is just as out of it. Quote on the HealthCare bill: but we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it

You should be smarter than that. Liberals only care about racism and sexism when it comes from a repub.

When it comes from a lib like Biden, Reid, Maher, Matthews, Clinton, Schulz, Melissa Perry whoever, etc........crickets

Damn near fell over when Chris Matthews says here that Obama doesn't compromise!

Why there had to be a Democratic blood bath for them to acknowledge all this is beyond me

I have seen this behavior before in Matthews where he has a rare moment of honesty. They're all temporarily in shock and it's momentarily caused them to go off script.  If only both he and guys like Sean Hannity could find this honesty all or even most of the time. They could maintain their ideology while moving forward the goals of democracy and their ideals. What a bargin.
