First time visitor next month. I was wondering if it is worth visiting one of the "ranches" or should I just spend my time and energy with one of the many choices in Vegas?
Go to a ranch ... if you've never been go once ... the lineup is pretty cool great ego trip ... don't wear short pants though you'll rip your skin off on the plastic covered couch ...lol... Now For Vegas .. you've done your research you have a lovely indie coming to your door, when you want, for as long as you want, at a price you have already decided upon, you know what your getting, and when your through you can roll over and take a well deserved nap if you like and dream of your incredible conquest instead of the lonely hour long drive back to Vegas........ the choice is yours....
...long gone from the Chicken Ranch. About two 1/2 years ago they remodeled and redecorated the parlor area, which now resembles a very comfortable living room - albeit with a huge mirror on one wall (discreetly covered by drapes when not in use) in front of which the ladies stand when called for a lineup.
Rumor had it (and I believe Debbie or one of the other shift managers later confirmed) that the old furnature, including the infamous plastic coverd couches, was auctioned off at the time of the remodeling and the proceeds were then donated to charity.

There are several factors to consider when trying to decide whether to visit the LPIN (Legal Prostitution In Nevada) brothels or to patronize the independent escorts of Las Vegas - you will have to decide which are most applicable to your personal situation. I'll try to list most of the main advantages/disadvantages of each below. And, if you're not already aware of this factor, stay far away from ALL "escort agencies" in the Las Vegas valley. While there may be one, or at the most two, reasonably reputable ones, it isn't worth the risk (or added cost), especially given the large number of quality independent ladies in Sin City.
LPIN Brothels
Advantages:
[1] Legality & confidentiality - no fear of law enforcement and no need to reveal your identity (assuming you're older than 21 and don't pay with a credit card).
[2] Safety - brothel courtesans undergo regular, mandatory health checks. While most of the top indie escorts voluntarily get regular checkups as well (especially those who used to work in LPIN), you have no way of knowing for sure.
[3] Wide selection of ladies - all heights, shapes, sizes, & colors and you can "compare/contrast/select" in person to a great degree without obligation.
[4] Availability of "special facilities" - such as BDSM rooms/equipment, private bungalows, jacuzzis, and more.
[5] Payment - most brothels take credit cards (a few also take debit cards), eliminating the need to carry large sums of cash.
Disadvantages:
[1] Distance from Las Vegas - the closest brothels are in Pahrump, about 70 miles from the Strip (the Chicken Ranch and thier competitor, Sheri's Ranch next door). With gas prices the way they are right now, this is becoming a more significant disadvantage. However, it is an easy, pleasant, and relatively scenic drive. Mabel's and the Cherry Patch are the next closest (15-20 minutes further), but both have VERY poor reputations. Angel's Ladies in Beatty and the Shady Lady even further north on US 95 are both well over two hours away.
[2] Higher prices - the house gets 50% of her earnings, plus room & board on top of that (except for the "top bookers", who often get that "comped"). This drives up the price in comparison to "equivilent" escorts in LV (many of whom got their "start" working in the brothels). And if you choose to use the "free" limo services advertised by the houses (or take ANY kind of taxi service), you WILL pay more for your "party" (and most likely will not be made aware of that "hidden cost".
[3] No "outdates" - your chosen lady must remain at the brothel at all times during your tmie together. You can't take her "out on the town".
Las Vegas Independent (indie) Escorts
Advantages
[1] Better rates - without the "house cut" (and without "agency fees"), the ladies can keep more of their earnings, resulting in lower rates. And the large number of working ladies in town helps keep prices in check overall.
[2] Additional "actvities" - escorts set their own rules, so if you're looking for things like BBBJ (which is prohibited at the brothels) or anal (which is strongly discouraged, but not impossible to find within LPIN), indies are the way to go. Remember to check with your provider though, as many indies do have just as strict a set of rules as any brothel courtesan.
[3] Companionship for non-sexual activities - indies are "true escorts" who may elect to accompany you to any number of activities and events outside of your hotel room. Take her to dinner, to a show, a sporting event, or to the casino - activities that southern Nevada LPIN courtesans cannot do since they are restricted to their brothel while working.
[4] Spectacular looking women - not that the brothels don't have them as well, but Las Vegas entices more than its share of world-class beauties to its indie escort scene.
Disadvantages
[1] Screening - this is the biggest disadvantage for those who have not patronized escorts before. When seeing an indie for the first time, the best reference you can give her is the name of another provider you've shared time with in the past (even if she's from another city). Otherwise, she's going to have to ask for some personal information that many guys may be reluctant to share. However, in most cases this process is relatively painless. And once you've established that you're (a) not a cop, (b) not dangerous (an abuser, stalker, psycopath, or worse), and (c) a reasonably nice person who will treat her with the respect and courtesy she deserves as a professional providing a very intimate service - then you should be "in like Flint".
[2] Can't meet her beforehand - though websites are nice, photos can sometimes be deceiving. And personality is nearly impossible to evaluate via e-mail and/or with a few phone calls. At the brothels, you can meet the ladies in person before plunking down your hard-earned dollars and often spend some time geting to know her in the bar or parlor area. With indies, you somtimes only have a few seconds upon her arrival to decide if she's really right for you before she will expect to see your envelope containing her gift (or course, if you DO decide that she's not what you really wanted and decide at that point to abort the date, you should at least give her a reasonable amount of compensation for her time, trouble, and transportation costs in coming out to meet you).
[3] Safety - of course, nothing is guaranteed. But with escorts you're always taking a chance that she may be engaging in riskier sexual behaviour with her clients than what brothel courtesans are allowed to do. And unlike LPIN ladies, you have absolutely NO assurance that she gets regular medical checkups, other than her word. However, as long as you stick to the well-reviewed top independents, and only elect to see those who stick to the activities with which you are comfortable, you are very unlikely to encounter problems of this nature.
[4]Lack of "backup" options - let's face it, usually due to circumstances beyond their control, escorts or clients will have to cancel their appointments at the last minute. Most providers are professional enough to minimize such situations on their end, with some even willing to arrange for one of their friends to see you as a last-minute replacement if they cannot fulfill their end of the deal. But most often, when plans fall through under such circumstances, you're stuck with trying to contact other ladies on the fly. Many of the top indies will already booked for the night (or may be out-of-town, busy with other obligations, etc.). So then you end up having to fly blind and booking someone you might not otherwise have selected (or done the proper research on), or you spend the time alone and disappointed. At the brothels, you always have an ample supply of alternative courtesans available, if your "first choice" is unavailable for whatever reason.
[5] Having to use cash - most escorts require their donations in hard currency. Though cash is fairly easy to obtain in Vegas (for obvious reasons), many guys are nervious carring aroung large sums of it. The brothels accept credit cards and "disguise" (i.e., use a discreet holding company name, DBA name, or other such alias) for the entity that will appear on your card statement.
This is just a short list and by no means is all-inclusive. You will have to decide for yourself which alternative is best for your "first time". Good luck, have fun, and play safe!

the Chicken Ranch and Sherri's (the only two to consider) have remodeled extensively in the last few years. Much more tasteful. Some attractive girls at both, ...but, I agree with Spinner. Just stay in Vegas.
The brothel girls may get as little as 30% of what you pay! So...quantity is their thing. Much more attention and complete service is given by Vegas Indies.........some,.. so well thought of....they are almost, if not, celebrities...and WELL deserved. Look thru the reviews and websites,....you can find most anything you want!

They really are two different experiences. The brothels are fun... like being a kid in the candy store. The 2nd best part is sitting down with the ladies at the bar and see which one you feel most comfortable with. I don't mind the drive but do object to the pricing and some of the rules.
Indies in town are great. Since I'm more of an extended time guy, I love that the good ones are true "escorts" and it's fun to have an entire evening with them... in and out of the hotel room.
