What do you do with an illegal alien that serves in the US military?
a. Do they automatically become US citizens/veterans and gain support from the "support our troops" crowd ?
b. Do they get sent back to where ever - with a thank you, but no thank you from the Commander in Chief ?

is that since they have worked to serve our country they deserve citizenship. They are property of the US government and deserve benefits, and should receive all VA benefits when duty is fulfilled. 
and it is a quite honorable way of earning citizenship.
I will disagree when you say they are "property of the US Government" but unlike people who sneak into this country, thumb their nose at our laws, take advantage of our social services, the people who join the armed forces have EARNED their right to be here and should be granted every right as any other American.
What if America has enough military personnel as it is?
Paying out social benefits might be cheaper than paying out VA benefits.
They could be La Razza saboteurs who join the US military. Only to secretly convert to Islam while in the middle east. Then return to the U.S. to install a radical Islamic caliphate government while collecting VA benefits.

Well, that "Property of the U.S. Government" was used on me when they threatened to court-martial me for getting sun poisoning. on my liberty time, and not being able to perform my duties, because of it. Now, if I'd gotten the flu that would have been permissible, but getting too much sun was considered damaging government property. lol
but in the context the MO used it, it takes on a completely different meaning. Once discharged, I and every other member of the military ceased being "property of the US Government" just one of the many reasons I never re-upped

I say, if you are going to look at the military as a business. You shouldn't complain about troop deployments, because it's a source of income for the soldiers. Why would you want more soldiers, when the federal government doesn't have the resources to pay the current ones.
When an alien serves in the military, they get a Green Card after their tour of duty ends and leaves or reenlists.
