What if 15-20 ISIS/al Qaida/terrorists whatever....all jump the fence at the same time, armed with Uzi's and hand grenades. Imagine the carnage? Clearly there is no force, at least apparent to me, that would stop any of them from reaching the front door.
To me, I was stunned that that nut wasn't shot LONG before he reached the door. At a minimum, he should have had a deluge of rubber bullets hit him as his feet landed on the White House lawn and if that didn't immediately cease the threat, then snipers should have ended him for good with the real shit.
If I am seeing a weakness, certainly our enemies do.
In a post 9/11 world, with ISIS claiming they will put a Sharia flag on the White House on a weekly basis, I think the threat is real. When they first said it months ago, I along with everyone else, laughed it off. Now, I am not quite so confident it couldn't be achieved, at least for a short time.
What am I missing here?
Am I overblowing the threat? Understating it? If so, why or why not?
He should us and the Secret Service how vulnerable the 1st Family is, while in the White House. It's a real task balancing accessibility vs. security, as the Queen and her security staff, in Buckingham Palace, learned way back in 1982. Looks like they should start leaning much harder in the direction of security.

The reason the intruders have not been shot is they did not look like "Michael Brown".
