Take half a pill, and how many mg is that? 25 mg may be enough and 50 is plenty. Take on a an empty stomach with a full glass of water. Wait 45 minutes. Go to your favorite internet porn site and proceed as usual.

Viagra is a "PDE 5 blocker". The process is a bit complex, but you can read the wikipedia article. The point is, once you've saturated the PDE 5 blocking effect, ie, blocked all the PDE 5, a larger does doesn't help and just increases side effects.

25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg.

The usual starting dose is 50 mg, which can be adjusted up or down depending upon effects and side effects.

I don't know what dosage you've been prescribed, but there are really two schools of thought on it... one is to start with the minimum dose (25 mg) and then increase if needed. The other is to start at 50 mg and reduce or increase as needed.  

I'm of the opinion that the minimum is where you should start (25 mg), and then if not working you can take another 25 mg since V is so quick acting for most.  

Best advice is to ask your Doc.

Only way to find out.  Take some.  I started with like 1/8th of a 100mg.  Found it was sufficient to keep me going through an entire encounter, and several hours after, including the morning after.

Sorry, but buying 100mg from Mexico as your first adventure sounds ill advised.  

My first reactions to 10 mg of Levitra (moderate dose) had noticeable side effects. Flushing, blue vision. But my body adapted over time so that I have minimal side effects now.
   
For what it is worth, my advice is to spring for a real prescription of U.S. 50mg Viagra.  Cut one in half and start at 25 mg and work up.  My personal experience is that anything less than 25mg won't work and any perceived reaction is just psychological.  The half life of Viagra is 4 hours which means it is out of your system in eight.  And probably looses potency within two hours. That is why viagra is so touchy.  In my experience Levitra and Cialis are better though each is slightly different too.  No, you will loose your erection upon orgasm just like you do normally.  Sometimes the ED drugs will make reaching an orgasm difficult.  That can be frustrating.  Good luck.

How large is the pill? 100 Mgs? I take a quarter & I'm good.. lasts just as long.. I went to a swingers party once.. took 50 Mgs.. .. I almost didn't have a happy ending.. so be careful..

on consulting with a doctor initially and purchasing it stateside so you know you are getting the real thing.  One provider I dealt with recently stated, price should not be an issue when it's an erection you want!  Good advice.  I buy mine at Costco; still expensive, but cut them in half and that does the trick.  Ten pills cost around $200; so that's about $10 an encounter.  A worthy price to pay for a nice experience.
I've been taking it for about fifteen years (probably more like twenty!) and while my erections aren't like they were in my earlier years (I'm almost 70), I can still get the old boy pretty hard.

my doc recommended I get the 100mg pills since they cost the same and just cut them in half or quarters and just take as much as I need.  These days (I'm 69) I usually take a half, 50mg, dose about an hour before having sex with my wife.  Does the trick really well.  Both of us are experimenting with "medical" marijuana now too and find it enhances the experience wonderfully, so an even lower dose of V might be sufficient.

But when I'm going to visit a provider, especially a new lady I've never met previously, I want the extra boost of confidence, so I take a full 100mg dose.  Typically I'll take it 45 to 60 mins before showtime for a really good result.  I get side effects.  Sometimes I experience flushing and blued vision, no problem.  I usually get severe nasal congestion too but a shot of Afrin works wonders.  I'm so happy they came up with this drug which allows me to enjoy sex regularly at my age!  We live in wondrous times.

You are correct; price is more like $400.  Not cheap.
