you can't just flash the gun in VA. Yes, you can carry it in your jacket pocket or purse (for ladies). I am sure the owner would have used similar campaign if people were allowed to legally show off their fire arms...

The reasoning for my finding of such a comparison to be absurd. Not every citizen who legally owns/carries a firearm is a registered member of the National Rifle Association... and as I mentioned before one is a handgun the other is a membership card.
The comparison is faulty! Would you agree that a membership card is not the equivalent of an actual firearm?

Like GaG said that it would be the safest place. I have never really heard any mass shootings at gun store or gun range. Why is it that most of them happen in a gun free zone? Do you think that is a coincidence?

Our elementary schools are supposed to be the most harmless places with 4 to 8 years olds! The Sikh temple in Oak Creek, WI is a sacred place where people pray and worship! Does not matter what religion they belong.

I was not talking about any laws. The town where the PA cop shooter lived is a gun friendly place. Yet the people were told to say indoor locked in because there is a bad guy with a gun. So, even gun friendly towns are not safe! LOL.

That education and good family values, which teach that to resolve the issues in peaceful manner are key to solving culture of violence in our country.
That being said when a guy with a gun comes in front of you, threatening to kill you, you NEED a gun to protect yourself. 9/10 times you are not going to be able to calm him down. And in protecting our rights to defend ourselves, I don't see what is so wrong with celebrating our 2nd Amendment.
Gee, in my 73 years I have lived in places like NYC, Philly, Metairie (NO), St. Louis, Cleveland and Dayton and never thought for a moment I needed a gun. None of my family or extended family members ever had or going to buy a gun.
It just does not fit in to our heritage and culture. How can you celebrate something that is killing thousands of innocent people every month! Must be mentally disturbed or retarded to celebrate dead bodies.
