Well I live south of MOA so that's south metro to me. Nice place to live but not a lot of options for providers.

I am looking for somebody who is a CMT tho can give a really great massage but might be a little more open minded at the end than your average massage envy therapist.
I have been out of the hobby for a couple of years and been enjoying " legitimate" massages but I'm really starting to miss the ones I used to receive.
I'm a runner and in the middle of marathon training so I would really like something more than some jergens lotion slapped on my back for 5 minutes before the flip.
Any suggestions would be great. I don't need a long list of extra menu options, just the basics without breaking the bank.
Anything towards the south metro would be a bonus

... Uptown, there's several providers in that area who offer CMT or even LMT quality massage. Some of them started as LMTs and then moved to more sensual approaches. One of them is Trinity Lake, but based on reviews there's other good candidates as well. Someone else I know is downtown so not as convenient for you.
In what world could Uptown possibly be considered the South Metro?
Where the center of the metro is downtown Minneapolis and anything south of downtown then becomes "south metro."
All of Minneapolis is central metro, or I'll be a monkey's uncle. Otherwise, why limit yourself to downtown? Why not pick a specific block, and say anything south of here. Or one guy's apartment, for that matter.
Sounds like us calling Iowa the South. Just no.

However, some also consider 'metro' to be the StPaul/Mpls cities. I have been in Minnesota for over 20 years now, and I've heard different uses of this phrase. SO, in light of clarification, knots used the word IF...
We now know what you mean by 'metro', but we don't know yet what the OP is defining as metro. So, knots was more specific with the location of his suggestions.

"Metro," short for "metropolitan area," is a common term not restricted to Minnesota. It refers to population centers in and around big cities, including less densely populated outlying suburbs. People may use it to mean the twin cities themselves, but they're mistaken. (That's fine, people are wrong about things all the time.)
Google "MN metro," for instance, and you'll see maps almost uniformly highlighting Anoka, Washington, Hennepin, Ramsey, Carver, Scott, and Dakota counties. Minneapolis and St. Paul represent its center, more or less. The southern part would be in the very least south of the cities, in Hennepin, Scott, and Dakota counties.
I completely agree with you. I know the definition. Knots knows, too. However, there are enough people that include this area in their personal definition that it is helpful to not assume.
It doesn't have to be south metro, I know that limits my options. It would just be nice.
I have seen Trinity and she is a fantastic person, just a little out of the price range of what I'm looking for right now.
I would argue that you can get a pretty good massage from Vi from TNT. You have to be clear about the massage parts and the level of pressure you want, but she is pretty willing to put in some serious work on the actual massage (or has been for me)
The other one I would suggest is Natalia. She is also a runner. I would be clear that you are looking for a sports massage or some concentration on certain areas.
