Reasonable interpretation? The response to Cruz's speech indicates Christians no longer support Cruz? Right.

As for your analysis, Hezbollah supporters might not be anti-Israel?. Right.

BTW, the focus was treatment of Christians throughout the ME, not just Iraq.

...Who' s left to support his 2016 bid for President?  There aren't enough ex-pat Cubans to put him over the top.

I think it is not.

The audience was quite diverse and international. Based on your own link there were speakers on the schedule that were pro Hezbollah and pro Bashar al-Assad. Ya think maybe their followers might have been the vocal ones that were a tad anti-Israel?

Props for reading The Blaze though.

and you start getting booed after you state that “Christians have no greater ally than Israel,” isn’t it reasonable to presume that at least some of the persons booing self- identify as Christians?

If the OP had said “Cruz gets booed off the stage by Muslims,” we certainly would have jumped on him. No one knows who actually booed, so the only reasonable interpretation is that Cruz was booed by at least some Christians.

But you have chosen the least important point to comment upon. What was really shameful here is that Cruz used this event to embellish his “street cred” as a strong Israel supporter, and effectively hijacked the event until he was booed off the stage. Then he had the nerve to claim that the audience was anti-Semitic.

     Props to the audience

straining at gnats while swallowing camels!  ;)

There are people in the audience that are admitted supporters of groups and states that are sworn enemies of Israel. And you think they are not the ones that were booing. Were some or even all of the "booers" Christians? Maybe, but these were NOT the Christians BP was referring to.

BP's intent was to build a case that Cruz can't carry the Christians he needs for a Presidential bid. Obviously Cruz doesn't need Christian support from the Middle East. I should have said the Christians that matter to Cruze's support almost certainly were NOT the ones booing. The Christians that BP was referring to were not the ones booing.

Here's a version of the story from someone present, not from someone trying to interpret an IPhone video. They refer to the "booers" as a small minority of anti-Israel hecklers, certainly not the group of Christians that BP contends demonstrates Cruze's Presidential aspirations have evaporated.

what he actually said which was a reasonable interpretation of media reports of the event.

I don't see that your link changes things. This guy says only that there was a small minority of anti-Israelli hecklers - he does not know whether they were Christian or not. And he likewise whether they were "anti-Israel" or simply pissed that Cruz was bringing up Israel when the focus of the event was the treatment of Christians in Iraq.

This is not like BP's posts that the "police always lie" or "Bush lied about WMd" which are ridiculous on their face. He made a reasonable interpretation of the headlines.

in the first half and the home crowd boos, I am not going to assume that those are Bears’ fans. No, sir, it’s those damn outside agitators.

Played in Dallas, majority of fans cheered for the Niners.

This makes Ed's point perfectly as I see no evidence that "Christians" booed Cruz off stage.

Plus it has a nice gun violence twist, just for you.

Let’s say Tupac Shakur was performing at Superbowl XXX halftime. It’s reported that several of Notorius B.I.G.’s homies  are in the crowd. Shot’s ring out and Tupac is killed.

Everyone’s reasoned and thoughtful reaction? Damn, those NFL fans are a bunch of real nasty hooligans. Well, maybe if they had been playing at Oakland Coliseum. I hear that’s a pretty rough crowd.

Refreshing to see a liberal say that "Bush lied about WMD" is ridiculous.

I just had to point out to BP that Lawrence O'Donnell is on record (which I had to supply to BP, lol) as saying Bush didn't lie about it.

And you are always fair with the police. Which is appreciated.

...You just couldn't understand your own link.

MR. MCLAUGHLIN: Tony.

MR. BLANKLEY: The bummest rap is that Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. He did not.

MR. MCLAUGHLIN: Lawrence. MR. O'DONNELL: I think I agree with Tony if what you mean -- the bummest rap is that Bush knew there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before the war. That is the bummest rap.

MR. MCLAUGHLIN: That's a bum rap?

MR. O'DONNELL: Yes.

MR. MCLAUGHLIN: So you're with Tony on that.

MR. O'DONNELL: Yeah. He definitely thought there were weapons there.

... simple sentence mean?  Come on, Jack, even you can figure it out, although I'm probably giving you too much credit.

MR. O'DONNELL: Yeah. He (George W. Bush) definitely thought there were weapons there.

It's apparent not all that bright considering they can't manage a simple coin flip. And the funny thing is, all the great plays in the 2nd half were performed by California Catholics. I hate to say mari, but your Texas Christians are not too bright, and when it comes to football, they're not in the same leaque as California, college or high school.

I'm going on a limb here and say you most likely reside in Austin, the only liberal bastion within Texas. But if I were you, I wouldn't venture past the city limits, because you will get your ass kicked.

Tell all your UT Christian buddies that not only the best football players come from California, but come from Catholic schools. That should piss them off. And to top it off,  the #1 rated high school QB in the country is Jewish, goes to one of the country's top high school football progams in SoCal, and it's Catholic. And did I say he signed with UCLA. Trust me, I'm not making this shit up.

P.S. Missed you last weekend. I was in Arlington attending the game.

As I posted on the Sports Board, the coin toss really did decide the case. Think about it – not only did UCLA get an extra possession but Texas was robbed of a possession. The Texas D dominated the first half and when you UCLA got that opening drive TD in the second half it changed the game. I’m still calling this one Texas 17 UCLA 13.

Thank goodness the B ball season is almost here. Did you ever finish mopping up Pauley Pavillon?

Hey did I read that UCLA has the top incoming class? No wait, now I remember – it is Duke. LO

Consider that coin toss a turnover, just like Payton's fumble at the Texas 30 or so. Anyway, we're a football school screw dukie basketball and they're freaking flops........lol...Sorry to go off point.

...You could make The Blaze just as fair and balanced as Fox so-called News.
