Certainly "enlisting" won't be enough, will it?

Are we going to be in a state of perpetual war, ever expanding into any country where we perceive a terrorist threat not matter how small?  Does the 1% rule still instituted by Cheney during the Bush years going to be the way we conduct policy in the future?  How big of a threat does there need to be before we engage.  Is ISIL a clear and present danger to us? They seem quite content killing other Muslims right now.  It seems that the same bunch of folks that called Saddam an immediate threat are doing the same against ISIL, so much so, that Obama now wants to fund Syrian rebels.  Is there really a moderate faction in that part of the world.  What are the long term consequences going to be?  A good portion of the military equipment we left behind in Iraq is no in the hands of ISIL, can we expect the same if we arm the Syrians?   What are the long term consequences of our actions today?

Food for thought.

Radical Islam is our enemy. As long as they are committing horrific acts, murdering our citizens and putting areas of the world in our interest in jeopardy, we will be at war with them.

The problem now is that the more pro-USA Muslims don't trust Obama because they know his heart isn't in this and he will cut and run on them so they will not be willing to fight ISIS to the degree we wish and building a meaningful coalition is next to impossible.

Better get used to it DA. The enemy isn't going anywhere for awhile and will not surrender. They need to be slaughtered and routed ASAP.

but it sure seems convenient that Cheney, McCain and the rest of the Military Industrial Complex has found the never ending war they so long dreamed of.

What happens if ISIS gains so much broad appeal that they own Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan?

Should we wait like Europe did in the 30s?

What if they continue to gain appeal domestically and IEDs start going off while your headed for a fuckfest in WLA? Or 6 islamo-nazis arm up with Aks body armor, and bags of grenades and start strolling thru the Galleria? (Betcha someone would be happy cops have Armed up then)

Yeah, questions questions questions...they're easy.

Answers? Not so much.

I guess the opposition can destroy things in that part of the world using U.S. Military hardware.

... as long as we don't give them any ships TOP won't be able to use that hardware over here.

I have faith that the women whom serve in combat roles might just grasp the concept of job-security.
